36° C (that's 96.8 F) today 🥵. And like most of my fellow Germans I don't have AC in my home. But I'm glad for the triplex glass of my windows and the very decent insulation of the walls. Both are worth every penny I paid for it in 2010.

A car alarm in the neighborhood woke me up last night. Went outside to check. Didn't find anything suspicious but caught sight of the moon. The night sky looked really lovely, didn't it?
It was rather hot today so I took a shower in the rain (obviously before I filmed it), and washed my hair on the porch with shampoo and plenty of rainwater.
Left - still in the process of getting installed, right - (ta-da) finished! New hot water storage tank and all the rest you need to heat your house (once it's cold again outside) with gas.
Old warm water storage container and central heating boiler out, new heating bits and bobs installed. Well, mostly. There's still some work to be done tomorrow.
The last strawberries and the first raspberries from my garden. I wish I could share their taste with you. 😋
That's a good place in my garden to sit and listen to the water.
I'm so annoyed with the guy from the insurance company. I've been trying to contact him for a week now. Didn't even apologize when I finally got him on the phone. Yes, maybe he didn't get my email but explain the six or so phone calls!

I love buying new hardware. People tell you that it's incredibly easy to install, and the user manual is in a gazillion languages with your native tongue wedged somewhere between Finnish and Hungarian, and not nearly as thorough as you hoped it would be.

Received a load of firewood yesterday afternoon but managed to stow it away neatly in the shed, which I had tidied and cleaned before the delivery. Face planted in my bed not much later last evening.
