My Gen Con 2026 haul. Either purchased, VIG gifts, or wins from a raffle. I'm most excited to try Night at the Zoo and Drillers as well as reading through The Crooked Moon which won three Ennies! #gencon #boardgames

Getting ready for my trip to Gen Con. What board games are you looking to play or buy this year? #gencon #boardgames
Second game of Entropy tonight and came in third! What a tough game to determine the pacing on. I'm excited to play more. #boardgames
We learned to play Entropy tonight! After a couple times around the board everything was falling into place action wise and the iconography made sense. Very crunchy gameplay and so pretty! I think this'll be one of the biggest hits of the year. Glad I got my copy before Gen Con. #boardgames

Delivery! Got my pre-order copy of Entropy today. It was number one on my Gen Con must have list and I jumped on the pre-order so now I don't have to lug it back in my suitcase. Playing on Thursday. #boardgames
Arydia session 4! We finally had to flee a fight that we were wayyy not prepared for. This game keeps throwing new and interesting things at us. Saving someone in a block of ice and shrinking down to ant size was not something I thought we'd be doing. #boardgames
Played Anachrony today with the Fractures of Time expansion. I tried the new faction and really took advantage of the blink mechanic. Close game where I won with the tie breaker!
Organized my completionist pledge for The Game Makers after receiving it today. Excited to try this thematic game from @beziergames.bsky.social soon! #boardgames
Sauteed up some okra and tomatoes from our garden for lunch veggies. I'm so excited that I'm finally growing okra again. 3 summers since we moved from Texas and this is the first year I've got good plants growing. Not as many as I ever did in Houston, but a good start. And way more tomatoes.
Also in board gaming news this week, my copy of the expansion for Star Trek Captain's Chair came in without any shipping notice. Weird @wizkids.bsky.social but I'm excited it delivered finally! #boardgames
Game night this week was Evenfall. I didn't know much about it before playing. But I noticed the publisher was the same as an upcoming Alexander Pfister game and said yes to it. Evenfall ended up being a neat tableau builder about witches and was really enjoyable. Very close scores too! #boardgames
This week at game night we played Bark Avenue with the Kings and Queens expansion. Once again despite being the only dog owner at the table my dogs would never poop and I lost pretty terribly. But I always have fun with this game. #boardgames
Also worth cutting down any tree of heaven you see.

Is it Sunday yet? Preparing to start the campaign for Arydia from Far Off Games. I've been excited about this one for a while. It feels somewhat inspired by 7th Continent/Citadel with a unique combat system where attacks do directional damage. #boardgames
Here's a pic from my first game of Revenant. Mindclash games hit it out of the park again. Fantastic game, lots of choices and interesting decision space. This was towards the end during cleanup. Everyone scored over 100 points and were within 15 points from first to last place. #boardgames
Forgot to post my play of Shackleton Base by @sorrywearefrench.bsky.social ! Very interesting game I could see playing again to be more competitive in. I think I still got second but didn't interact with everything.
Played Dune Imperium Uprising today with the Bloodlines expansion. Basically nobody interacted with the techs but the Sardaukar were quite strong. I won after a very high swing point turn. I'm excited for the next expansion by @direwolfdigital.com #boardgames
I went to watch Mandalorian and Grogu in the theater! Had a great time, what a fun movie. There's too much negativity out there so any criticism I have feels dumb. It's ok to have negative opinions, but don't try and push it on people to justify it for yourself. This movie rocked.
I'm pretty sad by the closing of live service Destiny 2. I've played since beta Destiny and while there were ups and downs the game was almost always fun and the last expansion with the lightsabers was incredible. Some tears shed for it ending this June and at least it's going out with a bang.
Temporary shelves temporarily organized with board games. Got them up out of the way quick to make room for other things to get into the house. #boardgames #shelfie
Got the invite to be a VIG this year at Gen Con! Goodbye hotel worries! #boardgames #gencon
The first games of the year were two unplayed games I bought at Gen Con. First up was Quorum which had a ton of scoring conditions. Then we played Pick 'n Packers as a light end of night dexterity game. The last team pictured here made it furthest to spot 4. Keeping these two for now! #boardgames
Apparently it's "instant pot" and not "instapot". 2026 teaching me things already.
