The issue isn't the loss of quality, or the stature of the buying club. It's the uncertainty over how we replace them with. I've rarely seen a clear succession plan, dating back to the sales of Ferdinand and Ginola in 1997. I'll reserve judgement, but it doesn't feel good right now. #NUFC

I'm surprised how quickly this has moved since season's end with a World Cup coming soon. It puts Eddie's stance on team selections, and AG's sheepish behaviour during laps of honour into context. AG must have also got some reassurances on Barca's ability to register him for next season #NUFC

Well Villa's win has ensured one thing for #NUFC today... The dirty mackems are still only 4 points away and can be caught 🎣 I'm not saying we will btw... But at least there still something to play for 🙏🏻

There's been many concerning moments this season, but yesterday was a new low. After a 3 week break, they offer up that! Lethargic, shot-shy, naive, and no savyness so see the game out. Legacies and good-will among fans are quickly being eroded. Not sure where the next win is coming from #NUFC

A gallant effort from the lads last night, the outcome could have been sweeter 🤔 Hall 🏴 and J7 🇧🇷 were the standouts ⭐️ Trippier’s shift deserves a mention 👏🏻 Looking back, it looked like tiredness was creeping in at times. All those matches this season is catching up with players and fans 😪 #NUFC
