After the service, the funeral home gave me a nice reusable bag with paperwork and thank you cards and so on. I don’t feel like I can go to my local farmers’ market with a bag advertising a funeral home.

It's okay to sit in the bowl of melancholy for a little while, just not too long. Photo from my collection, no date/info.
Dear all funeral homes everywhere in the known universe: please do not put pop-up ads on your obituaries. Just don't.
I love these posts, not only for the original post but also for the responses
#catsofbluesky I found this little kitten in our back yard three weeks ago. She was skinny, hungry and very thirsty. I asked everyone if they had lost her. Nobody had. Well she's mine now and is no longer hungry or thirsty. She is loved!!!
Whyyyyyyy can I not get a sampler pack of Oreos? I’m not risking an entire packet if it’s a bad flavor of Oreos.
While driving home from the city, I heard a thunk and then a knocking. A few min later, a red light came on for the battery. Then my power steering gave out. Then I got a red light warning about the engine heat. And now I’m sitting on the side of the road waiting to be rescued.

Google has just informed me that I have a child. I had a lot of fun during my college years, but always used birth control. You'd’ve thought their other parent would've told me before this. This is one hell of a way to find out I've got a kid.
There are a total of 2 books in my entire life that I have not DNFd. I have hate-read more books than I care to count. I have made myself finish books 3 pages per night until the bitter end. That’s not to brag. I am impressed by the people who cut their losses. They are far smarter than I am.
alright y'all, what's the pettiest reason you DNF'd a book? I'll go first- the protag of the book disparaged Star Trek's Seven of Nine and said she wasn't sexy
Years ago, we looked up book-related injuries in our NEISS injury data system and, unsurprisingly, many injuries were from books falling off shelves, people tripping over boxes of books, and injuries from trying to pick up boxes of books. The books are most dangerous when they are flocking together.
When I become Empress of the World, watching videos in a waiting room on your phone without headphones in will be a jailable offense.
Milli Vanilli was my first concert! And YoungMC was one of the openers for them!
This lineup could have performed at Freedom 215 (i.e., 1990)
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a rainbow in the clouds like this before.
