9 page one piece fancomic. the whole thing is drawn with a lot of solid blackwork, to hopefully give it a dark, eerie atmosphere.

page 1. panel 1: the narration reads, "at the heart of the room, three trafalgar laws manifest." the first is the devil fruit, shown as law in a hoodie with his fruit instead of his jolly roger. he adjusts a surgical light over his body, the second law, depicted as the one lying on the operating table, connected to an iv stand and covered with a blanket. the third law, his mind, is a child, curled on the floor at the foot of the table. the operating table, crucially, better resembles the slab in a morgue.

panel 2: an overhead view of the table. in the halo of light, devil-fruit-law is performing heart surgury on body-law. body-law is covered in scrapes and cuts, and his hazy eyes look either heavily sedated or possibly dead.

page 2. panel 1: the view changes, now looking up at young mind-law. tears are dripping off his chin, and he's pulling at his face, tugging down on one eye. above him, devil-fruit-law continues to operate, saying, "left lung pneumothorax."

panel 2: devil-fruit-law's face is mostly obscured by the shadow of his hat and the surgical mask on his face. only one eye is visible. around him, unrecognizable organs and flesh float in op-op cubes. he says, "tracheal deviation. sterno-vertebral injury with a posterior displacement of the manubrium."

i think it’s very cool how felix clads himself in grief & is mobilized by it in a way that, if not strictly healthy, makes something of that crushing & final inertia. from death, there is nothing. from grief there is felix fraldarius. say what you will abt him but he makes moves
