Fantasy illustrator that paints all things Dragons, castles, and epic landscapes. I sell my work at various conventions and ren faires throughout the US
That feeling when one of the legends of fantasy art and dragons shares your work and calls it "astonishing"
I have been sequestered on my couch recovering from foot surgery (healing well btw) but that hasnt stopped me from working. I spent several days drawing and designing a new logo! I hope you like it as much as I do. I have plans for pins, stickers, and more in the future
I had my portfolio review at my final smartschool class....and you could say it went pretty well Here is one of those pieces from 2018 Keep of the dragon lords 2018
With a reworked drawing, it’s time to dive back in and start rendering some shiny metal plate armor I am having so much fun painting the highlights/reflections in the armor
Sometimes you need to go back to the drawing board. here I went back to rework the face and hands on my drawing. You can see here what some of my reference board looks like I will say, I think if I shave the beard I could pull of an exceptional badass angel warrior lady....
Throwback thursday to my oldest professional piece this piece got me my first paid illustration job, and was a consistent seller of prints and playmats for almost 10 years. to this day I cannot believe how little I was paid for over 50 hours of work (guess and I will tell you if its over/under)
just 24 hours left to go to get this special exclusive limited edition print! www.kickstarter.com/projects/naj...
If you were going to hang a print (or get a playmat) of a badass angel warroir which of these two would it be? I am kinda torn on which color scheme I like best. Which do you like?
Taking a break from dergins gotta prove to myself I can in fact draw and paint people

Cant stay away from dragons for too long, here is a sketch I have been working on for book of dragons vol 2 having lots of fun with this one

For whatever reason figuring out what to do with the tail on this piece has been a real struggle. after multiple attempts I have settled on two that I like. which do you like better? A or B?
More progress on my blue dnd dragon, really starting to come together now
Spring is in the air, so no better time to share my forest elemental dragon. I still love the "belly plates" on this one. Master of the Woods 2020
I have always struggled to get colors to look how I want when I am using procreate. I sually have to switch over to PS to tweak everything. I started adding color to this piece while I was traveling to and from conventions. Now home I was able to tweak the colors to something I am happy with.
Value study for my blue dnd dragon. Having a strong value base makes the painting process so much easier.
"The Mountain Pass" has been far and away my most popular piece at my shows this year. Pretty easy to see why. Snow covered mountains just hit all the right notes. Lord of the Rings certainly helps too
As I start work on my next dnd dragon, I thought I would look back at my green dragon. So many fun details in this piece.
As new work gets finished I have to say goodbye to some pieces to make room for what is new. What do you think? is it time to send my gold dragon to a farm upstate, or does he have some good years left?
You know, these last 4 weeks have been a blur. But one of the things I did want to look back on was that my painting "Home of the Horse Lords" sold while at Awesomecon! This is the largest original painting sale I ever had, and I am so thrilled it is going to a wonderful home
I have been travelling for the past month doing 4 conventions in 4 weeks. Finally home and finally able to start work on the next piece. Its been almost a year since I finished my green dnd dragon. Time to start working on the blue dragon. Here is the finished drawing cant wait to start painting
