went to fix one issue and by doing so inherently addressed 5 or so others loosely related from my todo list while also making things less of a clusterfuck overall very cool

I just end up increasingly more and more stressed, because now I'm several times over the 5 minute deadline to fix it, making it harder to focus on the fix. So please, if you think about saying this, don't. It does more harm than good - problems are often more complex than they seem on the surface.
"It just takes 5 minutes to fix this, why haven't you done it already?" is one of the most motivation and sanity draining things I hear some people say. So many times I would get into seemingly quick fix, only to spend hours going down a complex rabbit hole. (continuing)
i was bored a week ago or so and hooked up pemas EpicFixShader to asset load to see what would happen (and hooked up a familiar loading screen by loading a bundle from an old VRC mod git repo at runtime :)) github.com/pema99/EpicF...
tossed this on git and threw the link at a few games which could maybe use it tiara had it implemented in poligon in a few days i think it is really cool code i wrote is now running in 2 social VR games (and possibly another system i wrote in a VR furry porn game lol) i like making cool things :D

(+ some old cannys i made long ago) after hearing for the 100th time cvr pointers and triggers are slow and people compare the two systems :)
just finished moving, new place is kind of depressing (but should be temporary) not sure how this will affect my availability just yet- but i’m considering taking a week or two to just binge anime or something instead of throwing my time at code my new setup is kind of eh to work with anyways
i made a mod which shaves off 5s~ from startup left is fast startup mod / right is skip intro mod it’s not really noticeable though cause melonloader (without any mods) adds 15s to startup >:( (i trimmed out melonloader)
im now testing a very hacky distance hider it takes the bounds and associates them with parts of the prop (root/subsyncs) and when showing again ticks the animators, particles, and audio forward by the disabled time its a hack because i cant toggle the gameobjects, otherwise animator will rebind..

Made a #chilloutvr mod to have something like the Garry’s Mod earpiece grab animation while typing in Desktop. When zooming it’ll also cup the hands around the eyes. Was thinking it may be fun to have the eyes covered by my hands when tabbed out too lmao.
Ordered a new drive which shipped overnight while brother prep a recovery disk after this so was up and running again earlier today once the drive arrived. Boot drive was dead and one ram stick is somehow cooked. Lost bunch of important stuff but luckily not my CVR Unity projects.
NotAKidoS@nak.koneko.cat · 8mo agoMy PC blue screened again and refuses to boot now :D Suspecting dead boot drive after attempting to diagnose all other hardware. Don’t have anything on hand to continue so now stuck waiting for stuff to ship to me. My 2026 has gotten to a great start.
