Now the hard work begins to ensure that oracy isn't shrunk to performative talk of very narrow kinds (only debating, speeches, formal interviews) but encompasses the full gamut vital for learning in subjects & learning for life - Talk for Learning, Learning about Talk as well as Learning to Talk.

It does strike me that education is always looking for an 'answer' (AI, cogsci, slant, learning styles, brain gym, etc.) when actually it's more about the daily work of just turning up and building strong relationships with learners.
