We were so thrilled to present the Distinguished Contribution to Social Psychology Award to Professor Nick Hopkins! A wonderfully personal introduction by Prof Stephen Reicher preceded a rich, generous, and insightful conversation titled "The role of luck and privilege in research". #spsconf2026

Katie’s first conference presentation was absolutely wonderful! Presenting on her first two PhD studies.
First, Katie Quinn presented her research "Investigating the Relationship Between Men's Pornography Consumption Habits and Motivations with Attitudes Toward Sexual Violence" which seeks to better understand what constellations of porn consumption may lead to sexual violence.
We're pleased to kick off the 2025 BPS Social Psychology Section Conference with a welcoming speech by our chair @swedishprotests.bsky.social and organisers @shelleymckeown.bsky.social & @nascherme.bsky.social
