Imre is a telepathic black and white cat who adopted Niv as a kitten. He doesn’t speak directly to anyone but her unless he needs something. Most animals are telepathic &/or empathic (much higher % than humans) though they don’t all communicate with humans. 🌈📚💙 🪐📚 🌈🚀💫 🌈✒️ 🌈💜 📚🌶️ #queerprompts

There aren’t gendered associations with pink but Rathaliel pretty much only wears black and maybe a bit of midnight blue or royal purple and always something she can fight in. Her lip would curl in disgust at the idea of her wearing something as bright as pink. 🌈📚💙 🪐📚 🌈🚀💫 🌈✒️ #queerprompts

Fathers are largely absent - Rathaliel and Elyan are estranged and Niv doesn’t see her family much now she’s with the travelling players. Issues with Elyan’s da come to a head in book 2 - not even Elyan realises at this point how bad it was before he left for the lowlands 🌈📚💙 🪐📚 🌈🚀💫 🌈✒️ #queerprompts

Elyan’s always known he was different (though he doesn’t remember his early childhood). ADHD isn’t understood & after his ma died it was assumed his difficulty concentrating was trauma-related. His family structure is different & he’s culturally different from lowlanders 🌈📚💙 🪐📚 🌈🚀💫 🌈✒️ #queerprompts

Mostly not as it’s largely queer-normative, although Elyan’s gender identity is culturally and linguistically specific and as he’s not telling anyone about his cultural background either, he finds it easier to just accept he/him. But he doesn’t get to explain later on! 🌈📚💙 🪐📚 🌈🚀💫 🌈✒️ #queerprompts
