I'm in the bag for the Wolverine game but I do think it's funny that so many people are like, "It's Insomniac, it should be good, why am I not excited?" But it's not a mystery, it's just that cultural memory does not exist anymore. SPIDER-MAN 2 was not well received. That's why you're not excited.

Netflix has always had this pathetically funny air of "We just wanted to buy out video stores, rip them off, and steal the profits, we did not want to do this ourselves, we didn't mean for any of this to happen, why do we have to do things"

A new report from Luminate has found that long gaps between seasons of streaming TV shows are leading to major losses in viewership. More than a 1 year gap is seen to largely cause a significant loss in viewership. (Source: luminatedata.com/reports/2026...)

When you hear the first half of the UNSOLVED MYSTERIES theme and think "there is nothing scarier than this" but then you hear the second half of the UNSOLVED MYSTERIES theme.

It is fascinating to see BUFFY come back into pop culture in such a huge way, in both merchandising and general awareness/discussion, all around the same time that its revival series is shot down, we learn of a canceled video game, and its new comic series is indefinitely delayed.

The single player story in HALLOWEEN plays like the stealth missions in the SPIDER-MAN games, but whereas those are the most boring possible thing when you want to play Spidey, they're an absolute comfort zone when playing Michael Myers.

Keep in mind, for Rowling, who yes loves money but has enough for several lifetimes, this is primarily about the fact that most of the original cast spoke out against her so she got a new one. That's why this show exists.

I'll just say this. I collected a lot of FRIDAY THE 13TH tie-in novels and comics back in the day and they all proudly printed "based on characters created by Victor Miller." Until that 35 year timeline to regain the rights was up, Sean Cunningham never contested that once.

Have me on your podcast to talk about Stephen King's STORM OF THE CENTURY, not only because I love it and think it's the best King miniseries but also because when I was 9 I got to stay in a hotel for a week on the movie's dime because the filming shut down my street.

I'll also say it again: this is the best statement on the power of fascist propaganda and how easy it is to manipulate people by just telling them who the good guys and bad guys are disguised as a four-quadrant post-Matrix action vehicle you're ever gonna find.

When UNDERWORLD came out, it was so self-serious, but 23 years later when it is rare for blockbusters to be unironically serious it feels like a breath of fresh air.

Listen, I don't like PROMETHEUS and I'm kind of ambivalent on COVENANT but Ridley Scott is 88 years old, if he wants to go one more round with David, sure, absolutely let him go for it. That's a no-brainer for me.

There was a countdown show on Chiller called the "Chiller 13" in which Ti West was always exclusively introduced as the director of CABIN FEVER 2 and regrettably, I feel we must return to that.
