AI bros are COOKED! I created this entire sequence with my camera, using human skills. Something like this would have cost dozens of dollars in prompting, but for me it was completely free.

Truly can't imagine a better use of your time and money than traveling to see the world. I am genuinely a better person now for having experienced places like this, a person with more empathy, more resilience, and a broader understanding of the world and the people in it.

For me, getting a northern lights reflection is the holy grail of nature photography. Requires an absolutely incredible amount of patience and luck, but the results are hard to beat.

“I’ve been obsessed with Origami lately, so I decided to play on my computer instead” Literally could not ask for a more on-the-nose example of how AI makes you lazy and unskilled.

Tomorrow I fly back to the Lofoten Islands in the Norwegian Arctic. Last year the first night we arrived I filmed this outrageous combination of full moon rainbow combined with Northern Lights. Hard to imagine how this year could top it, but fingers crossed!

Moments like these, cooking dinner over an open fire, sitting on the shores of the amazing Fort Peck Reservoir in Montana, watching a storm roll through at sunset into a beautiful rainbow. Moments like these are why I’m so passionate about being outside and seeing the world around us.

America's public lands are perhaps the single greatest asset our country has. Protected wilderness, open space parks, BLM, Forest Service, and grazing lands are without a doubt our richest resource, and aside from generating *literally* trillions in revenue, they're also vital for our survival.

This is why we have Pride Month: because in many places simply the act of loving someone of the same sex can result in years of attacks culminating in a murder. This is a devastating, and senseless, loss. RIP Jonathan Joss.

I want to love Bluesky but literally every aspect of it is worse: - image quality - file size (extremely limiting for video) - upload time - no HDR support - no edit button Idk man, I want to use this platform but it’s a real slog.

As I sit on the plane flight home I’m surprised to be feeling melancholy. Usually the end of a long trip brings relief as I finally get to relax & catch up on sleep. A full month of this view directly out my back window centered me, and I’ll miss the peace and spectacular scenery of northern Norway

People keep defending AI by saying it won’t take any jobs from creatives, but this post very literally shows otherwise. A person with a camera and even somewhat moderate competance could have made this in less than an hour. This is disgusting and embarrassing for the Mets staff.
