I have dozens of unfinished story drafts, going back decades. Some handwritten, some typed, some I even submitted to publishers, but none that I was truly satisfied with. But I don’t regret the time I spent on it all. My writing wouldn’t be what it is today without all of those practice runs.

Stars Apart has officially released! Thank you to everyone who’s already pre-ordered a copy! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it (hopefully more, because the long journey to get to today certainly had its ups and downs). Don’t forget to leave a review, and spread the word!

Less than one week to go until the official release of Stars Apart. Thank you to everyone who’s already placed a pre-order. We smashed our four-week target in just ten days! When I first started writing this story, almost a decade ago, I never imagined it would receive so much support!

On July 20th, 1969, the first human being set foot on the moon. In 1985, the date was designated Space Exploration Day, and has been celebrated as such ever since. Now, in 2026… a cool book I wrote about space stuff is coming out that day.

STARS APART by @nathan-greaves.bsky.social will open for preorders in two weeks! Fans of grand strategy sci-fi STELLARIS should keep eyes out for this one! Preorders: June 29th 2026 Release: July 20th 2026 #readerscommunity #amreadingya #aussiereads #scifibooks

As much as I bemoan the fact that it took almost nine years for Stars Apart to be published, there were benefits to the long wait. It gave me time to outline future instalments, and add concepts to the first book to set up later plot points. I can’t wait to share this crazy universe with readers.

Work on Stars Apart began 3195 days, 22 hours, and 46 minutes ago, on the evening of September 1, 2017. A dozen rejections, one contract, and well over 400 hours of editing time later, I finally have the completed novel in my hands. What a journey it’s been... and it's not over yet.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of sharing stories with the world. I’ve always wanted to give to my readers what other authors gave to me… an escape, an outlet, something that lingers long after the book has been closed. I guess I’ll find out soon enough if I managed that.
