The most recent polling has me and Mayes Middleton tied. MAGA Mayes has spent millions of dollars of his own money trying to buy this race. It ain’t working. This November, we'll show Mayes that the Texas Attorney General's Office is not for sale.

Did the FDA back off a food safety recall for fear of upsetting one of Trump’s corporate donors? The fact that we are even entertaining that question means we are in a very dangerous place as a country.

The problem of high prices and the problems facing our democracy are connected. When politicians answer to corporations instead of their constituents, there’s no consequence when prices go up, quality goes down, and power consolidates. A good Attorney General can do something about that.

The era of corruption in the Texas Attorney General's office ends November 3, 2026. The AG is supposed to ensure that government serves the public good over private interests, not the other way around. Every Texan should be able to look to the AG and say, "That's my lawyer."

We need an explanation: why did Elon win the bid?

Texans have endured abuses of power and discriminatory actions that weaken their voice and limit opportunity. We cannot allow the law to be twisted to disadvantage people or undermine their rights. As Attorney General, I'll stand by your side, not in your way.

Mayes Middleton thinks he can buy the Attorney General’s office, just like he bought the Republican AG nomination. I think Texans see right through it. There’s serious work to be done. And I’m ready to do it.

Voting to turn a blind eye to corruption is, in itself, an act of corruption. If Mayes Middleton can’t stand up for the rule of law as a State Senator, he is certainly unfit to be Attorney General.

I think I’ll have to spend a lot of time suing the Trump administration.

I think people are tired of politicians talking down to them. People are interested in the nuances. I have too much respect voters to speak to them in absurd incendiary language. Let's elect an Attorney General who respects people and the law.

On what it will mean to win the AG election this November:

Texas Republicans are increasingly getting their orders from DC politicians instead of their own constituents. It's up to the Attorney General to push back against unconstitutional laws that serve outsiders over Texans. What happened to putting Texas first?

Quality has gone down, prices have gone up, and consumers are being manipulated. As AG, I will make sure that powerful corporations don't control the rules of the game, and are forced to compete.

Powerful interests trying to pay to play? Not on my watch. It’s up to the Attorney General to set clear expectations and prevent trouble before it starts. Because the rules only work if they’re enforced — consistently and without hesitation.

No one is more dedicated to defending Texans’ fundamental rights and freedoms than Wendy Davis. I’m honored to have her endorsement in the race for Texas Attorney General. With leaders like her on our side, we can build a stronger, more just future for every Texan.

Over the weekend, Hungarian voters kicked Viktor Orban, their far-right, authoritarian leader, out of office. Dictators and demagogues have had their moment. It’s time for serious government — at home and around the world.

As Attorney General, I will sue the Trump Administration when they break the law — which is frequent. I will not allow the President, or anyone else to violate the Constitution, steal our tax dollars, or bully our state.
