Danielle Smith and the UCP are putting Silicon Valley billionaires ahead of Albertans. Albertans have legitimate questions about AI data centres, and they deserve to be heard. The Alberta NDP is listening. /1

Let’s start with first principles: Albertans’ interests must always come first. And we won’t let any mega corporation take advantage of our land, water, and resources. There needs to be a thoughtful conversation about the government’s approach to AI data centres. (1/2)

The UCP is only taking direction from foreign billionaires on AI data centres. We are listening to you! So this August, we're launching a public consultation tour, and you're invited. Together we will make decisions in the best interest of all Albertans.

Congratulations to all the finalists and participants in the Melamoon Pitch Competition, hosted by @facecoalition! FACE is doing incredible work supporting Black entrepreneurs across Canada with access to mentorship and capital. /1

And that’s a wrap for this year’s Calgary Stampede! They call it the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, but it’s also one of the world’s greatest community gatherings. People from more than 100 countries come together to celebrate Alberta’s culture, build connections, and strengthen friendships.

I am and always will be a proud Canadian 🇨🇦 Tomorrow, I’ll be celebrating with the Glastonbury Community League at their Canada Day and Made In Canada Pop-Up Market Event! Come join me and my team at Glastonbury Park from 4-8pm. /1

Albertans are working hard, but too many are falling behind. 💸 While the cost of groceries, gas, and monthly bills keeps rising, Alberta now has the lowest minimum wage in Canada. It’s time to put more money back in workers’ pockets. /1

This is a wake-up call. 48% of Calgary Chamber businesses say they may leave Alberta if separation moves forward - and 63% already feel the negative effects. The cost? Up to 175,000 jobs and a $62B economic hit. /1

Last Tuesday, I had the pleasure of joining community members (despite the rain!) for the site blessing of the future St. Patrick Catholic Elementary/Junior High School in River’s Edge. /1

It was an honour to join Kim Hung School to celebrate the Grade 9 farewell 🎓 For many of you, Kim Hung has been home since Grade 1 - nine years of learning, growing, and building friendships that will last a lifetime. /1

Alberta families are feeling the pressure of rising costs. While the UCP and Danielle Smith are distracted by separatists, Naheed Nenshi and Alberta’s NDP are focused on you and keep more money in your pockets. /1

Albertans have had enough! Albertans did not vote for: - American-style two tier healthcare - CPP taken from them - suspension of teachers’ rights - UCP Chaos and Corruption /1

The UCP have changed the rules to help their separatist friends every which way. Premier Smith’s own staff also knew that separatists had illegally attained Albertans’ personal information and did nothing. /1

Anyone can become a victim of credit fraud. With the elections list data breach, Albertans now face a much higher risk of having their lives turned upside down. With Bill 210, Alberta’s New Democrats have proposed real, practical, proven measures to help protect you and your financial future. /1

In my riding, children are forced to take hour-long bus rides in the Edgemont neighbourhood because the area needs a new school. Yet today, the Government confirmed to me that they have made no progress on the new school that they promised would be operational by 2027. /1

This is the most serious data breach in Alberta’s history. A confirmed fact: The premier’s own staff were in the room when separatists disclosed the personal data of former Premier Jason Kenney and other Albertans. Danielle Smith feigning ignorance of the leak just doesn’t cut it.

The UCP is deliberately diluting the voices of both rural and urban voters. Red Deer, Sherwood Park, Lethbridge, and even suburban Edmonton’s electoral maps will be carved up in unrecognizable ways. /1

The UCP is using unfair tactics to win the next election. Today, they will introduce Government Motion 37, which will effectively allow UCP MLAs to draw electoral maps for the next election. UCP-drawn maps would disenfranchise both rural and urban voters. /1

The UCP is letting Kevin O’Leary’s AI Data Center skip its standard environmental impact assessment— despite being built in a municipality facing emergency drought conditions. Why does the Premier have one set of rules for Albertans and another set of rules for her friends? #abpoli #ableg #abtech

The UCP is rigging the boundary-drawing process to steal the next election. We are sounding the alarm. Alberta's New Democrats are calling on all Albertans, all political leaders, and all Canadians who believe in democracy to speak up now. #abpoli #ableg
