Not even Speaker yet and Hakeem Jeffries has already lost control of the caucus. Mike Johnson will likely remain worst and most ineffective Speaker of the modern era - but Jeffries already warming up for the number 2 slot. www.politico.com/live-updates...

No immediate plans to punish rogue House Democrats for bailing out GOP

A previously scheduled caucus rules meeting did not result in a firm proposal regarding Reps. Jared Golden and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez.

They will likely quietly or not so quietly sell Iran nuclear weapons to go with those cruise missiles. And why shouldn't they? Trump has demonstrated international law will not protect any country from violations of sovereignty, so every nation needs a nuke now to defend themselves.

Iranian leadership met with Putin in Bishkek — as the news came out that Russia is secretly helping Iran to develop supersonic cruise missiles.

Clearly planned for a coup with the midterms Fired whole military command and installed flunkies Building armed bunker at White House And now planning to deploy ICE troops to polls Main hope is they are too incompetent to execute the coup- but will try in last ditch response to losing midterms

NEW: ICE agents could enter polling places to make arrests this November, according to DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. Speaking to reporters, Mullin insisted that “ICE isn’t there to patrol the polling places,” but said agents could nevertheless enter voting locations in certain circumstances.

This is why Dems taking anti-trans or anti-immigrant political positions is not pragmatically moving to the middle but harmful, since it encourages Dem voters and moderates to change their views - and therefore moves aggregate views on trans and immigration to the Right, politically helping GOP.

Interesting example of how political beliefs can be formed by identification with a politician rather than the other way around:

"We promise to restore the status quo of 2024 when the American people were completely happy" No vision for any real change. Nothing. With this leadership, no wonder the public hates the Democrats almost as much as the GOP.

What @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social told me the House agenda will be next year if Democrats win —Reverse Trump’s Medicaid cuts —Extend expired ACA tax credits —Restore Congress’s authority on tariffs —“Decisively” end the Iran war Beyond that: “We’ve established five working groups on affordability”

Every blue state should be barring former ICE agents from employment- that is the minimum action they can take against people willingly signing up to terrorize our communities and murder people thrown into detention without adequate care. www.latimes.com/california/s...

California lawmakers pass restrictions on hiring former immigration agents, ban on electric-shock gloves

California lawmakers on Monday voted to ban federal immigration agents from being hired for many local and state government jobs and outlaw electric-shock gloves.

If this project is so critical, where is the Congressional debate and appropriations for its funding? The God-Emperor Presidential theory underlying every decision of this Court needs to be obliterated when Dems take back Congress and expand the Court.

Laughed out loud at the section of the Supreme Court opinion upholding Trump's ballroom that's like, "And would you doubt the veracity of these SWORN DECLARATIONS that the ballroom is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY from a BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO ARE IN TRUMP'S CABINET???" www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...

Nor is that all. The government has also presented dec-
larations from the Director of National Intelligence, the Di-
rector of the Central Intelligence Agency, the Director of the
Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Director of the United
States Secret Service, and the Secretary of State, the Sec-
retary of Homeland Security, and the Secretary of the
Army, among others, attesting to national security and
other harms that would likely arise from enjoining a “sin-
gle, coherent” project that cannot be readily cleaved into
distinct below- and above-ground pieces. See, e.g., App. to

ample, represents that “[t]he height and mass” of the
planned above-ground ballroom are “crucial” to shield the
planned underground military installation “from kinetic
impacts,” and that, without such height and mass, “engi-
neers would need to dig impractically deep.” Id., at 247a

Socialist Mamdani is cutting fees for small business to encourage more economic activity, while "capitalist" Trump is destroying tourism income with idiotic taxes. But then, socialists understand markets better than most "capitalists" - who are mostly just self-interested monopolists & rentiers.
