Today was a fun day. It's wonderful to hang out with a group of friends and not feel like the third wheel.

Bubblegum Crisis, one of the best cyberpunk anime made. Getting in a couple of episodes before going out the door this morning!
Next edition of 3 AM thoughts keeping me awake. I've honestly never understood why the horror genre is such a key part of the LGBT identity. I don't like it. I don't like the jump scares. I don't like the blood. I don't like the violence. And because I don't like it, I often feel ostracized.
Slowly getting there! After four years of hunting them down, only three more volumes to findβ43, 44, and 48βfrom Oh My Goddess!
This forced autosave feature in Fortune's Weave is the reason why I manually back up my save to the cloud and reload it if the overly aggressive autosaving prevents me from correcting a major mistake when redoing an entire chapter is not an option.
One look at Facebook today and this is what immediately came to mind...
In other news, I've been on a BL kick. Some of it spicy, some of it not so spicy. Can't explain why. I have a million unread books, but I shamelessly and almost exclusively have taken a deep dive into BL novels.
I wondered why I haven't seen NaNoWriMo since 2024. I hadn't realized that the organization had condemned those who didn't support AI, there were no protections for youths in their young writer programs, many organizers weren't vetted, and the loads of other background toxicity. That's just awful.
Dear gaming friends, I know I used to play a decade ago, but please stop asking me to pick up World of Warcraft again. There is nothing you can do or say and neither is there enough money in the world to get me to play again. Sincerely, Nath

I've yet to play Leda's route in FE: Fortune's Weave, but based on my interactions with her, I really like her. Dunno if I'm going to do her route next or save it for last...
SNES co-op classic Secret of Mana was out 33 years ago (1993)! π³ A lush world in 16-beautiful-bits of graphics and music. Glitchy gameplay ages it nowadays, but it's a fun time with friends, and with lots of spells and weapons to try. Review + Art: www.rpgfan.com/game/secret-...
It took five days to finally get eight hours of uninterrupted sleep. It was a nasty bout with RSV, but I've somehow made it through the worst of it. Even coughing lightly make my chest and core muscles hurt. Hopefully that goes away in a few days...
Happy Anniversary to Secret of Mana on SNES in North America! ππ₯³π Anyone else remember getting lost in this game for an entire afternoon? Exploring the world, leveling up weapons, and telling yourself "just one more area."
Happy Anniversary to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on PS1 in North America! π§ββοΈπ¦π° It has an awesome soundtrack and gorgeous pixel art. The castle is loaded with secrets. And then you find out there's a entire second castle to explore! What a legendary classic.

And I just used my first sick day of the year. Whatever I have struck hard and fast overnight and I feel awful.
Weekly Famitsu celebrates Sakura Wars's 30th anniversary with a special cover art and creator interviews. The heroines here were drawn by Hidenori Matsubara (often working along Tales series artist KΕsuke Fujishima). It makes me wish they'd assemble the Flower Division again.πΈ
Best weekend of the year, despite the nor'easter that ripped through the area. Spent some time with my gaming community, although, at this point, they're more like family. Depending on how things fall with our plans next year, I'll likely be saving my Labor Day vacation for them.
Every now and then, I need to listen to this. As simple as these songs were from Jem and the Holograms, they sure do know how to hit home.

Honestly, I'm surprised Pokemon Gold, Zelda, or Illusion of Gaia didn't make the cut. It was a tough call, but these are the games that shaped who I am as a gamer.
Ever since that awful Gemini rollout, my phone just won't connect to my car. There's nothing good on the radio, I can't play music through Bluetooth, and it's depressing to drive on silence to and from work daily. Thanks Google. Another case of "if it ain't broke, fix it anyway."
Incredible. Fox News decided to stand with MSNOW, CNN, and POLITICO after the ban. This will either all backfire on the orange toddler and he backpedals (we all know how much he loves the media's attention and having his face plastered across every TV) or it sets up a nasty state media regime.
