Crewe parkrun this morning after we were planning to attend the DRS open day this weekend but since it was cancelled we decided to keep our visit this weekend. A lovely in motion picture in the second photo 😂 Definitely a hot and hilly one today!
Whitby Cinder track parkrun this morning! Couldn’t help but get a selfie over the viaduct! Also now completed the final 4 stations on the Esk Valley line, woo! 🎉
Visited 7/11 remaining stations on the Esk Valley line today. Lots of walking between stations, some very tasty fries and a Pepsi at The Eskdale at Castleton Moor Station. Hopefully we can get the remaining 4 tomorrow 😊

Had a lovely weekend spending time with Nick‘s parents around the Thames including Henley, Goring and Pangbourne. Starting off with a very very hot parkrun at Reading Green Park!
Bit of a wet one today. Nick was injured so he volunteered instead and I didn’t do the best but still better than where I started months ago. 41:41 was my final time

Welsh parkrun today as we’re away with family, was quite a nice course, shaded and a bit cooler than other places in the UK currently. First outing off the running shorts and they’re very nice! Also had a lovely refreshing iced tea at the cafe afterwards! Not quite a PB 40:00 but getting better! 😁
Happy 3 years to @nickbadley.com ❤️ To celebrate we went for a lovely meal at The Alexandra in Southampton which had some delicious steak, gluten free chicken tenders and corn ribs! Even though it wasn’t the fanciest place, honestly for the price and quality of the food 100% worth it! 🥰😁

Today was Leipzig exploring, started off the day with our train being terminated in Bitterfeld and no movement due to a police incident. When we eventually got there it was as expected, very wet and cold. Visited the cool underground stations along with going on trams! Had a GF Schnitzel too!
Yesterday was a travel day moving from Paderborn to Wittenberg, only issue is we came across many cancelled trains but did eventually arrive at Wittenberg. What a lovely place! Quite small but also weirdly very empty, we bought some stuff to make dinner from the shop to save money 😁
Day 2 of Germany was some Schwebebahn action, got some trolly bus action to a cute village then more bus to a big castle where I ate waffles then more (non trolly) buses to Köln where it got a bit grey! All in all a very busy day 😂

Some good news to share, after having an interview a couple of weeks ago for a promotion at work I’m happy to say I got it! I genuinely didn’t expect to get it so it was a very pleasant surprise! 🥳 🎉

New week, new parkrun! Today we were at the newly reopened Victoria Park in Newbury. Definitely wasn’t feeling 100% but I gave it a good go! Went for a post parkrun lounge in Didcot for a tasty breakfast 😁
Paid a visit to The Kiosk in Leyland today, the Matcha was nice however it was a little disappointing to hear they had sold out of GF Bagels so no bagel for me! 😭
Okay that isn’t meant to happen… Annoyingly I don’t have my spare pair of glasses on me so let’s hope I can get them taped back together as I am going straight into work
Had a fun weekend in the North East for the final new station on the Northumberland line! Did a lot of other things too though including a hard parkrun and lots of lounges visited by buses and trains. I also forgot how cold the north is, especially with the coastal wind 😅
