Node is gone the backend! It's all bun now! Unfortunately the FE still runs on node (no way around that) but the BE and all the developer tooling is Bun!

If you're running into Anubis issues within the app, please clear your cache and cookies! I'm trying my best to narrow down the issue but its a bit tricky since its difficult to reproduce and debug!

Hey everyone! The server code been running on Bun for a week or so silently while I monitored, and its been good, so I've decided to yeet Node almost entirely and use Bun! Node stays for ATProto compatibility but its a good step! I've also merged in some Anubis fixes too! #atproto #webdev

No one will understand the pain involved with getting AT Proto Packages working with Bun instead of Node just to make API requests to the backend 5ms faster

Upon further investigation some type stuff in a kysely bump caused the backend to crash luckily railway didn't deploy the broken build so it didn't break the app entirely. Thank you modern CI/CD practices! I love being a good SWE!

Merged in some package updates which seemed to pass all the CI/CD checks but kinda failed on end-to-end tests. Let me know if youre running into issues with the app, but from my testing everything seems to be okay!

The backend now uses the host of your PDS to determine where to route your request. Eurosky users will be routed to the EU hosted service. The app should be fast for all Eurosky users. I'll be posting a technical explanation once it's finalised! #atproto #dev #infra #eurosky
