I saw the lil guy breakdancing that was the last straw. I now have a microduck en route
OpenAI will be fully removing their models from cursor starting november 12th… I… dont get why.
I'm working out of Amsterdam for September! Have heard lovely things about the area and am stoked to adventure, get some work done, and try new things. Anyone I should meet? Any places i should go? Open to all suggestions!
New apple event graphic has dropped! Im noticing this seems to highlight the glass 👀
I've been building my own harness with a friend. Recently its becoming more apparent to me that as models start reaching this quality floor the burden of quality will shift to your harness.
OpenAI's Jalapeno chip is already performing at 2x performance. I am very confident that we created GPUs for processing pixels concurrently as the CPU fell behind. We are now using GPUs to handle tokens and I just dont think its sustainable. The TPU is the way forward for driving down prices.
M6 and the m5 ultra look AMAZING. This is absolutely gorgeous https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2026/08/apple-introduces-m6-and-m5-ultra-for-a-big-leap-in-performance-and-ai-compute/
One of my favorite parts of this token-leaderboard-i-dont-have-a-name-for-yet is since we're tracking it daily, we have weekly trends! Model distribution, token throughput per day, WoW growth rate, api prices etc. Data is quite fun!
Todays tokens, at a glance. Have loved having an internal "leaderboard" to look over how my AI usage is trending per day. More will be posted about this soon, its lots of fun. (current workflow is fable delegating to sol)
I have put the OX Alpha model through Noahbench™️ Those claiming it scored 80% on DeepSWE are very much lying. This is not the model i previously thought and if i had to guess is probably by Deepseek. Full thoughts on the model:
With tv time being sunset, i have been working on a personal "movie+tv tracking app". Has been extremely fun to work on. Looks great too!
I sound like a broken record but Alcove is one of the best apps I use on a day to day. My calendar front and center has saved me from missing hundreds of meetings.
If we assume the writing of code is dead, how does one enter this sphere to begin with? Good soft skills and a claude subscription? Its all so interesting to think about, i know people interested in pursuing software dev as a career path. Very new times
Its honestly quite impressive to see the rate that GitHub is scaling at. ~70k commits per minute is absolute absurdity.
As part of compute week I built our statuspage! Read all about it blog.railway.com/p/multi-clou...
Going multi-cloud with an in-housed status page
We needed a new status page. None of the alternatives could do what we wanted, so we built our own with Rust and TanStack.

I'm very excited and honoured to be sharing in our compute week! Stay tuned for more to come! railway.com/compute-week
Compute Week 2026 | Railway
A celebration of the technical systems that power Railway, with a week of announcements that push the platform further.

Did folks want file browsers in their dashboard?! Well in our latest priority boarding release you can have it! Use the embedded UI to manage files, execute commands, and explore your volume! Note that this is in early beta and is subject to change or bugs.
Still trying to get the hang of Bluesky here. Whats the best way to get a feed with tech things? Lots of pet content (no big complaints!)
👋 Hello! My name is Noah and I'm a CSE at @railway.com! Here to answer any and all questions folks might have. Send em my way! Will try to check here as often as I can!
Had a great time making this! Turns out ~99.95% of every 8 digit character exists in the first 1B digits of pi but we render 10B. This entire thing is a single Rust binary distributed globally.
Every date exists somewhere in Pi. @nd.mt and I made a way to find them all. A little late for Pi Day, but here it is; pi2.day
