On July 4, 2026, the so-called "United States" will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The very document that called our ancestors "Merciless Indian Savages" while enslaving our Black kin, all in the name of "freedom for all."

Today was a powerful day as thousands of Indigenous Peoples gathered at the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Greasy Grass to reignite our warrior spirit and remember who we are as mighty Indigenous Nations.

As we approach the 150th anniversary of a pivotal chapter in our history, we are proud to celebrate not only where we've come from, but what we've accomplished together. The Battle of the Greasy Grass, more commonly known as the Battle of the Little Bighorn, took place on June 25–26, 1876.
