Transmission fees do not pay for roads, hospitals, universities, and police, Mrs. Smith. $200m is transmission fees, $40m is property taxes. $10m in annual royalties and levies is all the Province of Alberta will net from the Meta data centre.

Heading into the August long weekend shouldn't mean stressing about the cost of filling your gas tank. A year ago, filling up a family vehicle might have cost around $90. Today, it's well over $130. Albertans deserve real relief.
Danielle Smith and the UCP are making this long weekend the most expensive long weekend ever! Putting gas in the tank and food in the cooler has become much more expensive over the last few years. Albertans deserve a government focused on lowering costs and making life more affordable.
People won't be able to pay their rent, buy groceries, or pick up prescriptions because of the ineptness of this government. The AISH to ADAP transition is cruel, and this is just another example of this government's ineptness and incompetence.
Sad news. Day 2 of the Sherwood Park Highland Gathering is cancelled today. We are grateful that nobody was hurt, everyone is safe and our thoughts are with the amazing organizers as they pivot to clean up and planning for next year.
