George Carlin was right. We use the prefix 'pre' in many nonsensical ways. A *cold* oven is PREheated before you turn it on. Once you turn it on, it's just heated. And so on.
There's a map set for Quake called Tremor out and while it's not eye candy focused like Arcane Dimensions, it is very fun. As you may have guessed from the name it is primarily focused on bringing you a classic experience like the original mapset. No bullshit difficulty, no foreknowledge required.
Dusk is an amazing game, but it always just makes me want to play Quake.

I think my problem with video game movies is I just plain like video games more than movies. Unless a movie is particularly haunting/moving/exceptional I would just rather be playing a game. Even by the end of a really good movie I am kind of impatient for it to be over.
Did you know?: That you can let a mentionin of Lovecraft pass without volunteering he was a racist? Nobody discussing Lovecraft is in the dark about that. You are not bringing new information to light. This is in fact the 'Tomatoes are really a fruit, you know,' of literary conversation gambits.
I do not see a clear path to Elder Scrolls VI or Fallout 5 being anything but a massive disappointment. And the FO remakes are likely to be "remastered" the same way Oblivion was. Badly. The AAA industry is too stupid to make a slam dunk game successful anymore.

I think the main purpose of socmeds is to give people the illusion they have a method of redress in class power imbalance. It's just writing on a really long wall. You cannot appeal to authority here and you certainly cannot become one.
If you make a mod for a game, you should probably playtest it at some point.
