Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed its version of the Farm Bill. This version does nothing to restore benefits to the 10,000 Nebraskans who have lost their food assistance since H.R. 1. Tell Congress that we need a better Farm Bill for Nebraska: neappl.es/farmbill26
The House took a deeply worrisome step by passing a resolution allowing Congress to start a budget reconciliation process to provide an additional $70B or more to ICE & CBP for 3 years. This allows Congress to bypass the normal budget process & approve legislation w/ a simple majority vote.
EVERYONE needs food. Now is your chance to remind our members of Congress that food and food assistance are non-negotiable! We need a Farm Bill that represents our values - one that actually supports people when they need it and doesn’t cut people off. Call or email now! 👇 🔗 neappl.es/farmbill26
