Gotta find the positives in things... I've seen some comments implying that Sonalodo should not be shown in bondage, so here's my official objection to that one. : )

You ask me how long it takes to make my art, I respond by describing my whole art process from start to finish. ... which, as it turns out, is *quite long*... 🧵1/5

"Once a script (and my confidence in it) matured enough, I start sketching out the individual parts of the art. I don't care much for actually assembling the whole page at this point, nor about exact details. I just want the lines to start existing and the composition to start forming. Fun fact: My initial sketches tend to be exceptionally low-resolution. (I just find those easier to work with.) There's also a lot of trial and error involved with this step. Like with this drawing! That one looked like this at first." The text is pointing at a smaller, alternate version of the art of the artsona doodling. Composition: 1min - 30min per panel The artsona is moving around and rescaling a lot of digital boxes floating all around him. "Once that's done, it's time to assemble the actual composition. To start, this means rescaling all the various, incredibly small sketches to fill the page, and to position the panels so that the page is filled efficiently. I also plan out the placement of speech bubbles, moving elements around so that the text fits, while ensuring that they're presenting a natural flow. For comics like mine, some people may reflexively start reading panels from right to left, instead of the intended left to right. So finding a composition that 'hints' viewers into the correct read order is another part of this."

Recently, @squeakyray.bsky.social has been putting in good work to bring Yous to the 3D realm, and teasing up a fun little rivalry between our OCs while they were at it. So with that in mind, I was surprised to notice I haven't actually drawn anything for that myself yet. Let's rectify that! ¬ᴗ¬
