The main standouts for the BFI Film Festival this year for me are: - Klara and the Sun - Look Back (live action) - Godzilla Minus Zero Might be pretty hard to get tickets though so will just probably wait until nationwide screenings.

Finished Rascal Does Not Dream of a Beach Queen+, a book with three side stories set in different times in the series. It captures the Rascal series well with the emotions from heartwarming, sadness, and humour.

Out and about in a Totoro t-shirt and a staff member made small talk asking if I like Ghibli and what my favourite film is (probably The Cat Returns and Kiki tied).

Looking at Edinburgh for a solo trip and wondering why accommodation is so expensive to the point where I could just stay in Glasgow and take the train in for cheaper, then realised that there was a tourist tax introduced in July.

Spent a month reading Clara and Olivia, I picked it up because of the dark historical themes set in 1930s London where English ballet was growing. Sadly I couldn't get attached to the characters and the pacing felt slow for a thriller.

Went to pilates class and the teacher said that she couldn't tell that it was only my second session, thought she needed to keep an eye on me but I was generally okay 💪

Finished Migrations when I couldn't sleep last night. McConaghy writes descriptions and emotions beautifully, and reveals past events layer by layer. Migrations was released before Wild Dark Shore but there are a lot of common themes such as conservation, wild swimming, family, nature.

Went to a restaurant and there was an item on the menu which said "Get this for us so we can get drunk after shift" Guess who bought beers for the staff.

Got the Cultist Edition of Cult of the Lamb with all the DLC, wasn't sure if my save file would transfer over but it has! I don't think I'd mind too much to start again though.

Went to Hokkaido in 2020 and the snow was knee-deep for me towards the countryside. It was difficult dragging a large suitcase through that much snow but I enjoyed winter more than summer, especially with the open-air onsen - it's quite an experience bathing outside when it's snowing. #NekoDesu
