Just learned git allows you to have a personal `.gitignore` that isn't seen by others in the repo. You just put your ignored files in `.git/info/exclude`. Why did it take me so long to learn this.

Now that I've seen the light, I can't imagine the future of the Web 50 years from now being anything *but* ATProto. It's the minimum necessary abstraction - It's just DNS and JSON.

ActivityPub is like email or RSS and ATProto seems more like IPFS. Focusing on hosting static content instead of full-fledged webapps with UIs and databases is the "file-over-app" philosophy that made the World Wide Web so successful.
