I think part of the reason I dreaded visiting Japan by the time August rolled around was I (rightfully) expected most restaurants here would be using that excessive info AI ad style instead of real food photos. Most of the food stalls here are full of it. I feel rather deflated.

i have VERY busy month ahead

In the office for the week, my place gives everyone too much food. To the point I question whether I should even bother with the hotel breakfast. But this is the only convenient opportunity I’ve had in years to get a waffle. I miss waffles. Guess I’ll overeat 🤔

I feel like I'm having a culture shock, but I think I get it now. I always assumed the Japanese response to copyright infringement was based on morals, respecting artists. But, it was actually a legal basing, not moral. And now, pirated training for AIs is legal there. Thus, many don't care there.
