Day 6: Cosmic Once again taking too long to get one of these done. BUT this might be my favorite so far, I think I did a good job of making it look transparent. I image this guy filter feeds on microorganisms in the earth's atmosphere. #smaugust #smaugustcircle
Day 6: Insurmountable I wanted this guy to give off the feeling of something you wouldn't want to mess with. Just an absolute unit, insurmountable you might even say. #smaugust #smaugustcircle
Day 5: Moon Speedran this one last night to great effect, I'm pretty pleased with it. I especially like the slightly fucked up anatomy all scrunched up to the front with a lot of torso in the back. It really emphasises the moth side of the design. #smaugust #smaugustcircle
Day 4: Humanoid I love how this one came out, I wanted the design to not be human-shaped but be clearly sapient and to give the air of a kindly guide. Maybe she's helping you through these peaks? She seems like she knows these paths well enough. #smaugust #smaugustcircle
Day 3: Maneater 3D space continues to elude me, but I'm quite proud of this one. The creature came out surprisingly cool despite not being the most original I feel. I guess that's just that big cat charisma. #smaugustcircle #smaugust
Day 2: Alpine Proud of how this one came out, really my only issue is that I have a problem making things actually look 3D. More practice and learning must be done.. Against all odds I'll make this daily challenge actually "daily". Maybe. #smaugustcircle #smaugust
Another Smaugust attempt? I think so. Day 1: Afterburner I was going for a sort of dolphin + pterosaur look in the shape of a fighter jet. It has specialized organs under each wing that store and then expel heat to speed through the air. How does that work? Idk. #smaugustcircle
