This is probably the most well spoken argument on this topic I've seen recently. If you support gun control, and it gets passed, it will affect those who are most in need of guns as defensive tools. Disarming yourself for an authoritarian government is a bad idea. That govt won't disarm itself.

There isn’t any defense of gun ownership I don’t care what your identity or political leaning is. Guns are extremely rarely used in self defense and every harmful use of them including accidental injury/death is several times more likely than a defensive gun use.
