Mostly painting BattleTech minis. Sometimes they even look good. Insta: n.magnus_art

Some more WiPs for both #battletech and #warhammer today. First, a start on an Escorpión Imperio Grunt Galaxy star, then the details on a Raven Alliance Alpha Galaxy White Raven, and finally a based (yet unpainted) model I kitbashed for a 40k killteam based on the Valhallan Ice Warriors.

Plastic CGL miniatures representing Locust IIC, Malice, Excalibur, Peacekeeper, and Viper in Escorpión Imperio Grunt Galaxy livery of bright pink fading to bright orange. Plastic CGL miniature representing White Raven dressed in Raven Alliance Alpha Galaxy livery of light gray with panels of white feathers. Additionally, the Raven Alliance insignia is painted on the side. My hand and miniature paintbrush for scaleMetal Warlord miniatures from their Daughters of the Motherland Propaganda Cadre line. They've been kitbashed with plastic GW miniatures to represent an Imperial Navis Boarders killteam. Foreground model is put on a base.

Finally finished a couple WiPs and pushed through a new project today. First, finished all of the undead in the #elderscrolls Bleak Falls Barrow delve by Finally gluing them to their bases. Then, two #battletech lances - finished basing Tortuga Fusiliers, end entirely painted up Eagle's Talons.

Plastic Modiphius miniatures representing three skeletons and four draugr, as depicted in Skyrim. The skeletons are light ochre with glowing blue eyes and the signature green and gray ancient Nord bow and arrows. The draugr are cold light gray with rusted gray weapons and armor (except for the central one, whose weapon is enchanted with an icy blue glow), brown leather cloth, various shades of auburn or brown hair, and glowing blue eyes. They are all on stone gray decorative bases.Plastic CGL miniatures representing Gothic variants of Marauder, Scorpion, Firestarter, and King Crab. They are dressed in Tortuga Fusiliers "livery" of black with shocking blue highlights; they have red cockpit canopies, gold metallic bits, and grimy, dirty bases. The Marauder and King Crab have off-white banners with the Tortuga Fusiliers (a chalice with dice in it) and Tortuga Dominions (a scorpion) emblems in black, respectively.Plastic CGL miniatures representing Stalker, Shadow Cat, Jade Hawk (facing away), and Shockwave. They are dressed in Oriente Protectorate Eagle's Talons livery of two-tone green and black camouflage with upper torsos and shoulders painted in purple. They have bright red cockpit canopies, dark silver metallic bits, and dirty snow bases. The Jade Hawk faces away to display a plume of fire and smoke from its jump-jets, glowing yellow and orange with incrementally darkening smoke.

Two new #battletech WIPs. A Clan Coyote Gamma Galaxy and a Capellan Confederation Death Commandos lance. I'm finally bringing myself to do the two mostly-black parts of my push through the Proliferation Cycle set. After these I'll just have to finish SLDF and I'll be done with that project.

Plastic CGL miniatures representing Coyotl, Black Lanner, Supernova, Linebacker, and Marauder IIC. They are painted in Clan Coyote Gamma Galaxy livery of black and light blue highlights, sometimes incorporating ancient Terran Pueblo pottery design motifs, with the insignia of a dark tan circle behind a coyote skull (for this star, the insignia is overlaid on a light blue capital gamma Γ). Coyotl is decorated with a stylized coyote, Black Lanner with a stylized bird (not visible), Supernova with a stylized person playing a flute, and Marauder IIC with a stylized quetzalcōātl. Linebacker just has pinstripe highlights.Plastic CGL miniatures representing Pillager, Firebee, Cataphract, and Raven. They are dressed in Capellan Confederation Death Commando livery of mostly black with green highlights.

Having finished my #battletech Clan Goliath Scorpion Delta Galaxy star, I'm now just under 50% for my Alpha Strike Box Set. Themed around the deep Periphery, I have 4 Umayyad Caliphate and 3 Nueva Castilla 'Mechs to paint and I can call these guys done!

Plastic CGL miniatures representing (starting top left) Pouncer, Fire Moth, Blackjack, Wasp, Nova, Locust, Wraith, Phoenix Hawk, Timber Wolf, Atlas, Warhawk, Warhammer, and Archer in the plastic case of the Alpha Strike Box Set. Pouncer, Fire Moth, Nova, Timber Wolf, and Warhawk are painted in Clan Goliath Scorpion Delta Galaxy livery of black and orange highlights with red cockpit canopy and dark brassy metal. Blackjack, Locust, Wraith, and Archer are currently fully painted yellow. Wasp, Phoenix Hawk, and Warhammer are partially decorated in Nueva Castille Castilian Brigada livery with yellow and green striped limbs, while Atlas completes the look with dark brassy torso, head (aside from individually decorated skull face), and metals with purple cockpit canopy.

An Atlas for a lance of #battletech Brigada de Nueva Castellana to make up half of the Inner Sphere forces of the Alpha Strike box set. I'm okay with it looking somewhat meh; in the deep Periphery they don't really have time for perfection, especially in the shadow of Clan Goliath Scorpion.

Plastic BattleTech miniature representing an Atlas AS7-S. It is dressed in Nueva Castille Castolian Brigada livery of metallic torso with vertical yellow and green stripes on the limbs. The Atlas's skull face is also decorated in yellow and green stripes, using artistic license. The Atlas's eyes are painted in a light purple.

Another #battletech work in progress, some Rasalhague Dominion Rasalhague Galaxy 'mechs. This is the "Oops all bears" star. Hadn't occurred to me until now just how "little guy" coded the Bear Cub mini is. I'll probably do weapons in silver when I come back from vacation.

BattleTech miniatures from CGL and IWM. Plastic miniatures representing Kodiak and Grizzly (background) and metal miniatures representing Ursus II, Bear Cub, and Karhu (foreground). They are painted in Rasalhague Galaxy livery of blue with alternating gold and silver stripes on the shoulders and legs.

Working on a canonically accurate #battletech Clan Wolverine Star, based on the cover art of the book "Betrayal of Ideals." Yellow is still a nightmare to paint but I'm just about done with them. Gonna try to do an anti-zenithal of a dark purple to add some shadows and base them martian red sand.

Plastic BattleTech miniatures representing Wolverine, Mercury, Black Knight, Sentinel, and Exterminator. They are dressed in Clan Wolverine livery as depicted in the cover art of the book "Betrayal of Ideals" of blue with yellow highlights. Metallic bits are painted a bright silver and cockpit canopies ate orange. Bases are as of yet plain aside from paint overspill

#battletech Aces Scouring Sands OpFor almost 100% done. Just gotta give the sandy base a wash and make the rims black. Painted these guys up as Clan Jade Falcon Rho Galaxy, to line up with their canonical unit designation in the campaign as the 18th Falcon Regulars.

Plastic miniatures representing two Fulcrum hover tanks, a Rifleman C, Locust IIC, Bane, Thunderbolt IIC, Howler, Marauder IIC, and Summoner. They are dressed in Clan Jade Falcon Rho Galaxy livery of bluish gray with light aqua highlights. They have sandy bases, jade green cockpit canopies, and appropriately colored weapons (red, green, and blue for small, medium, and large lasers, respectively, or black for kinetic weapons).

WiP #battletech Draconis Combine 9th Ghost Regiment. I figured if anyone was going to put gold all over their 'Mechs, it's the former yakuza guys. Have to shade the gold, add weapon details, and color the cockpit canopies and I'll call them done.

Four CGL plastic miniatures depicting Panther, Avatar, Chimera, and Venom BattleMechs in Draconis Combine 9th Ghost Regiment livery. Light gray, nearly white basing and a full body design of a twisting tree with cherry and plum blossoms. Added gold on the most important metallic bits (weapons, hands, feet, jump jets, and heat sinks).

Finished my #battletech Clan Sea Fox Skate Khanate star. I took some liberties with what "silver highlights" meant, but I'm happy with the results. Went with all black bases for simplicity; I think it ends up looking pretty sharp this way.

Plastic BattleTech miniatures representing Bane, Shogun, Pack Hunter, Highlander IIC, and Warhammer IIC. They are painted in Clan Sea Fox Skate Khanate livery: "The Skate Khanate paints its equipment dark blue with silver highlights."

Sic Semper Tyrannis! Just gotta base these #battletech Lothian Guards 'Mechs and they'll be all done. Lots of new stuff for me here: lighter colors than most of my projects, first time freehanding an insignia, and using a Turbo Dork color-shift paint. Turned out pretty good I think.

Miniatures representing four BattleTech 'Mechs: Gargoyle, Catapult, Shadow Hawk, and Regent. They are painted in Lothian Guards livery: "Bone grey is the Lothian Guard’s color of choice. Mechs have their lower arms and lower legs painted in a powder blue."

A couple works in-progress from the mini mines. First I've converted a Bolt Action Sherman V to use a tesla canon and will be adding a mine flail to make a Crab. Second and third are undead from Bleak Falls Barrow. Fourth, a Grey Knights Apothecary to go with a Redemptor Dreadnought I was gifted.

A plastic miniature from Bolt Action depicting a Sherman V tank with dozer blades. It has been modified to have a tesla canon and the power supply. Plastic miniatures representing the skeletons from Elder Scrolls Call to Arms Bleak Falls Barrow Delve. They are a brownish off-white with grayish-green and gray bowsPlastic miniatures representing the draugr from Elder Scrolls Call to Arms Bleak Falls Barrow Delve. They are very slightly bluish-gray, while their swords and other metal bits are dark gray and orange ro simulate rustPlastic miniature representing a Grey Knights Apothecary wifh a staff and a wrist mounted chain sword. Assembled, but unpainted.

New work in progress, took some creative liberties with this #battletch Clan Sea Fox Skate Khanate star. After my Christmas vacation I'll see if I can't cut them off of their bases so I can make appropriately maritime bases for these glorified merchant marines.

Plastic BattleTech miniatures dressed in Clan Sea Fox Skate Khanate livery of blue with silver highlights. The 'Mechs represented are (left to right) Warhammer IIC, Bane, Pack Hunter (front), Highlander IIC, and Shogun.

Typically, I keep my mech painting to BattleTech, but I recently put together this Linebacker Jump Walker from Konflict '47. Doing a USMC camo scheme for this guy and (eventually) the Firefly jump troops. Tried a bunch of new techniques on this guy, and I'm happy how it turned out.

Plastic Konflict '47 miniature, depicting a Linebacker Jump Walker, in United States Marine Corps camo of drab green, red-brown, and sand cream. Painted on the said are the words "DEVIL DOG"
