Posted a new devlog! Thought it's one month late, but progress is progress, right? #vndev #visualnovel #renpy #otome neonduststudio.itch.io/hueandme/dev...

September Devlog

Hello everyone! Time for a September update on Hue and Me before September ends! I’ve been working on new artwork, the script, and a few features that I’m excited to share. First, a small personal...

Finished this CG for a dream sequence in my #visualnovelgame #HueandMe 💜 Two figures beneath the wisteria. Robyn doesn’t know who they really are. So why does their story keep finding its way into hers and Noah’s? I tried a more shadow play-esque style for these! 🥰 #vndev #otome #renpy #solodev

Finished this new CG (and its variations) of Noah and his special "friend" Aiko, for my #visualnovel game #HueandMe! Took a while to make sure this looks as heartwarming as I intended! Funny how I did CG of Aiko first before finishing her sprite. 😅 #vndev #renpy #otome

Working on a new CG for the demo of #HueandMe! Who is this curious "friend" Noah is sharing noodles with??? I've been really sick with a severe eczema flare up but I'm slowly getting back to it now that I can hold my tablet pen 🥲 #visualnovel #vndev #renpy #otome #solodev

One of my favorite CGs I've finished so far. Here's a sneak peek!👀 A moment of tension between Robyn and Noah... but what exactly is happening here? Were they arguing? Did someone finally confess something? Or is there something much bigger at stake? HMMMMMMM. #visualnovel #otome #vndev #renpy

New July devlog update for #HueandMe on Itch.io! Despite a busy month, managed to squeeze and finish a couple CGs. 😅 #vndev #visualnovel #renpy #otome #solodev #gamedev neonduststudio.itch.io/hueandme/dev...

Devlog #4 — July CG Galore!🌿

It's somehow already the end of July! Trying to sneak in this supposedly monthly dev updates x_D This month wasn't as productive as I'd originally hoped, mostly because life decided to get very busy.....

New WIP sneak peek of a CG for my #visualnovel game, #HueandMe. Things are getting tense between Noah and Robyn! What could have caused this up-close confrontation?? 🤔😳 #vndev #renpy #otome #visualnovelgame #solodev

Here's a preview of a CG for #visualnovel game, with Noah blushing, the very moment that changes Robyn's colorless life! What could have cause such an intense fluster? 🤭❤️ #renpy #vndev #HueandMe #otome #solodev

Sketch preview of a tense CG between Robyn & Noah from my #visualnovel game #HueandMe! What could Noah be doing pissing her off in such close quarters?? More progress shots of this soon! #renpy #vndev #otome

Sketches of two more characters that will appear in my #visualnovel game, #HueandMe! Both are incredibly eccentric in their own special ways. They won't appear yet on the demo, but look forward to meeting them later on! #vndev #renpy #otome #solodev

Noah's intro CG is in the works! Here's a peek of the concept sketch compared to the current WIP. Our golden boy is glowing <3 Tried to make him look more mature than a soft young boy to reflect his (curiously hidden) elven nature. #HueandMe #visualnovel #otome #renpy #vndev

Cleaned up some quick mini cut-in CGs for the prologue of my #visualnovel, #HueandMe. Technically they're unnecessary but I feel like these quick little scenes add a lot to the narrative. Agh, when you have the power of art in your hands! Where is Robyn rushing off to?? #vndev #renpy #otome

Finished cleaning up this prologue CG for my #visualnovel game, #HueandMe. There are 3 more variations with little differences that will appear in the demo. What could that plant play in all of this??? #vndev #renpy #otome #solodev

So happy to be included! Thank you 😍 #solodev #vndev #vn #visualnovel

We just filled up a third of the pack! If you’re a small VN dev and want to join the pack, we welcome you with open arms! Please make sure to check them all out #gamedev #indiegamedev #videogame #bluesky #solodev #indiegame #sologamedev #starterpack #visualnovel #vn #vndev go.bsky.app/BYywqmT

New finished #visualnovel CG update for #HueandMe, in color and monochrome, for Robyn's introduction scene! She shades her eyes from the sun, searching for something out of reach. Cursed to see the world in grayscale but still chasing its light. 🌑 #vndev #otome #renpy

Finished this park background for my #visualnovel game, #HueandMe! Took me so much longer than I anticipated, never thought an empty park turned out to be difficult to work on. Will post progress shots soon. Love all the details I managed to sneak in. #vndev #renpy #solodev

After my hiatus, working on Robyn's intro CG. Cleaning up this sketch and taking parts off my character sprite so I don't have to draw everything from scratch! Lazy? Yep. Efficient? definitely. will clean and refine them after, so they're not blurry/pixelated! #visualnovel #vndev #renpy #solodev

Working on a new background! Wistfall’s riverside park. Still a rough WIP but already one of my fave views. From here you can see the Harmony bridge spanning across the Mere river (with it's waterfall) and in the distance, Wistfall’s skyline & floating islands. #HueAndMe #visualnovel #vndev #renpy

Here’s a scene where Robyn isn’t amused by Noah’s observations about her apartment! To be fair... her interior design choices are a little unconventional (being colorblind & all). But Noah seems far too entertained by that fact. 😅 #vndev #visualnovel #otome #renpy #hueandme #solodev

Finished my second background for #HueandMe! Robyn's studio apartment. Took me a week and had to hold back on trying to keep on adding more things 😅 I'll share the progress shots on IG soon! #vndev #renpy #otome #visualnovel

CG sneak peek! Working on a messy sketch of an early scene of Noah and Robyn from #HueandMe. Playing around with lighting and mood :D Can anyone guess what's going on? TwT #renpy #otome #vndev #visualnovel

Suzie's and Vidar's sprites are finished! I know they're only side characters but I want to put as much love into their looks. Happy with how Vidar's expressions turned out with his beard/stache. Not too happy with Suzie's fairy form, might revisit that. #renpy #visualnovel #otome #vndev #hueandme

I finished the first BG for #HueandMe, the office stairwell! Robyn will be spending a lot of time here to contemplate & having unexpected conversations. ^w^ The game is in black and white (mostly) so I tried to make sure they read well in monochrome. #vndev #renpy #otome #visualnovel

Been a while since I updated! Here are Noah's & Robyn's sprites finished! Updated Noah's face as well to make him more handsome. I gave them so many expression layers to make sure they feel more alive in their... er, expressions. 😅 #HueandMe #vndev #renpy #visualnovel #otome #Solodev

Did sketches of this boy's expressions! A side character from my visual novel game #HueandMe! a little ironic because he's a shy guy, but i loved giving him a larger range of expression options xD let's see if I can use them all! #vndev #renpy #visualnovel #otome #solodev

Cleaned up a little another side character from my visual novel game #HueandMe! He's a dwarf, seemingly new to town, that Robyn comes across. What role will he play in Robyn and Noah's lives? Had fun adding small details. Need to play around his values some more. #vndev #renpy #otome #visualnovel

Finalized Suzie's design, a side (but veeeery important, as she would insist) character from my visual novel game #HueandMe! And here she is too in her six inches little fae form! #renpy #vndev #visualnovel #solodev #otome #renpy

CG sketch of Noah's first blush (and first ever color) that Robyn sees! Had a lot of fun writing this scene out. Can't wait to clean this up and do small variations. :D #hueandme #visualnovel #vndev #renpy #otome #visualnovelgame #solodev

Improved Noah's blocky hair the other night made it more organic and detailed. Looks more relaxed now, I think? I also worked on his modular expressions, mixed and match some of them here. Can't wait to clean him up. #visualnovel #vndev #hueandme #otome #art #sketch #renpy

Cleaned up a while back some chibis of Robyn and Noah! Look at those little pointy elf ears!!😭 Did also a "black and white" version, gotta see how Robyn sees Noah in her point of view hihi. 🥰 #visualnovel #hueandme #vndev #otome #renpygamedev #renpy
