The State Museum of Natural and Cultural History of Hawai'i ran a contest to come up with a name & landed on 'Lāhainā' which means "cruel sun" in Hawai'ian.
We're never getting Elder Scrolls 6. Fifteen years for a sequel to one of the biggest game franchises of all time. Thirteen for GTA VI. It's fucking absurd. No other industry operates this way. We never moved past the Ion Storm fiasco, and that was only a 3 year delay. It's only gotten stupider.

We had another series of international transfers in and out, and once again everyone coming in is astounded by our IT department and everyone leaving is asking if I can still help them because the Euro departments suck. Even had someone retiring ask if they could pay me to help with home IT issues.
Horizon is great because the writers have to handwave past a few of the more difficult concepts like a network or hacking, so you end up with stuff like "It's not enough to stabilize her heuristic matrix" shut the fuck up Varl, you worshipped a mountain until 2 weeks ago. You don't know that word.

The majority of the AC discourse I've been seeing has been both sides confusing central air with AC in general while not understanding that window units and portable ACs are far more common and don't require drilling holes in anything.
I was wondering recently why I'm okay with my games being digital but demand physical media for movies and tv, and this explains it. Distributors are constantly deleting access to movies, I've never once had that happen to a non always online game.

Media literacy is dead, and in it's place is a massive campaign to declare every author abusive because people don't understand how characters work. Not everything is going to be Bowdlerized for your comfort. It's not the creator's fault you have the emotional maturity of a toddler.
All of this is very normal and a large chunk in the middle is just "cheese" broken down into it's ingredients.

It's 2026 and the "Thanos's motives make no sense. They should have just kept him as worshiping death" takes are now going head to head with "Billionaires are openly advocating for culling the human race to save it". Also Marvel Studios still has no idea what to do after Infinity War.
