As much as I criticize social media, one thing I do appreciate about it is how it lets people be freely creative. I enjoy seeing the random art that shows up in my timeline and I appreciate the YouTubers I've followed for years who are still putting out quality videos.

I really hate how much conspiracy shit has been normalized now. Anything people don't like or understand is now a conspiracy against them. They get mad at fictional bullshit, but will turn a blind eye to bad things they should actually get mad about

A lesson that I really wish more people on social media would learn is that social media is not real life. Getting likes on social media is no guarantee of success offline, and likewise, hatedoms do not have an impact in the real world.

Once again, if you use AI to "make" your movie, show, game, or book then I will not watch, play, or read it. You clearly didn't care that much about it, so why should the audience?

"I'm just asking questions" is another big red flag. Asking questions doesn't give you the right to be a bigot or to harass people. It is no different than "just following orders" as an excuse to justify horrible things.

I'm repeating myself, but it is really gross and hypocritical to me when politicians and pundits scream "protect women!" and "protect children!" when you know many of them either turn a blind eye to known abusers and sex pests. Or worse, are abusers themselves.

So I think the order I'll play Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave will be: Leda - Theodora - Dietrich - Cai Hopefully the discourse surrounding Leda and Theodora will be normal, but you know it'll probably be misogynist and racist.

A tie between Super Mario RPG (SNES) and Chrono Trigger (SNES). They weren't the first games I beat, but both games felt truly epic with tough final bosses. Saving those worlds after those hours invested in them felt like a big accomplishment to young me.

I really hate this "don't speak ill of the dead" civility policing that keeps cropping up whenever a terrible person dies. Dead people aren't immune from criticism. If you don't want people to say "rest in piss" when you die, then don't be an awful person when you're alive.

Studios really need to stop cancelling shows after one or two seasons and start giving them more than 10 episodes to work with so they can fully explore everything they want to while they have time to find an audience.

Right-wing grifting and bigotry is usually where has-beens, the worst, and the most mediocre people will find success in because the audience for the grifting doesn't care how awful the person is so long as they tell them exactly what they want to hear.

Spider-Man will likely break $1B within the next day or two. The next movie to make that will probably be Doomsday. Maybe Dune 3 as well. I think this year has proven that audiences enjoy both originals and IPs, and that cinema and theatres are not dying anytime soon.

Periodic reminder that doomerism is not helpful. It's okay to have hope and giving up in advance is exactly what the worst people want you to do.

I really like the character designs in Batman Caped Crusader. They're a fresh take on familiar characters. Especially Barbara and Harley. This show feels like a spiritual successor to TAS, but is very much its own thing.
