This weekend I attended my first #Dogma48 weekender. Bit off more than I could chew for 48 hours, and wouldn't say it's close to finished so technically I failed, but I started with a primed model and happy to get the ambiance and two characters finished. Happy with what I achieved in the time.

Two-tier Necromunda scene in blues and greens, with two characters in the centre; a dodgy salesman and an out-of-place military attaché.

Watched the England vs Argentina game last night with my son. When Argentina's second goal went in, they cut to the crowd looking mournful and my son said "that old lady looks sad" ... ... it was Mick Jagger, and yet he wasn't wrong.

I notice recently resigned politicians standing for byelections are doing a lot of talking, and not a lot of actual good for their constituency. I propose a little less conversation, and a little more Clacton.

Gary. New gnome addition to the garden. £2 from Poundland, bit of spraying, bit of painting and he's ensconced in the garden to keep our other gnomes, Barry & Larry, company.

Things you don't expect at plasma donation. The gift of a Metallica endorsed t-shirt celebrating donors. If you donate blood and haven't done recently, you have until 3rd July to get in on that.

First game of 40k 11th edition this evening. Not bad. Faster to play, even if we skipped a few rules on the way. Rule access is still a friction point. Had to pull in my old Space Wolves as a proxy for the unbuilt new ones, and my Orks need more work, but it was just nice to get time on the table.

My Armageddon box finally arrived after several days of postal delays. A small thing that's struck me is how well thought out the models are. Recessed glue joints, mould lines concealed like a champ. I think calling the build a joy would be a stretch, but it hasn't been a pain point. Very welcome.

Reading Rogue Trader this week. When people tell you that Warhammer is a very serious game, I shall point you to ... Inquisitor Obiwan Sherlock Clousseau.

Thoughts and prayers to the talented developers who ran out of their monthly allocation of tokens on Copilot yesterday and accidentally DDoS'ed Claude today. Here's to tomorrow's outages.

Well, that's my transport and display trays magnetised and based today. Perfect weather for PVA and ballast fixer to dry outdoors, rather than stinking up the house. All hail the marvellous @warbases.bsky.social for sorting that out, despite undoubtedly flat out prepping for #UKGE this week.

Started work on this beaut of a Genestealer Magus. Think I'll try and actually see how well I can paint it ... or at least that can be the plan right now, then I'll wuss out later in the week and call it done after three more hours instead of really pushing myself.
