Thinking of trying Artfight this year so decided to finally throw together some refs for some OCs I’ve had in my brain for years. Here is Nikolai. He started out as just a random doodle in my uni notebook way back in 2015

Colour digital reference sheet of my OC Nikolai. He is a human boy who was fused with a bat and has some bat-like features, such as a round bat-like nose, long pointed ears, wings and backwards facing legs and feet. He has dark brown eyes, brown skin and black hair and uses a stick for balance when standing or walking. He wears a large grey witch hat on his head and a ragged red poncho over a shirt and waistcoat, torn open at the back. There are eight drawings on the sheet, 4 of which are front and back comparisons, one pair of the whole body standing holding a walking stick, with text beneath them reading “Uses stick for balance due to backwards-facing feet” and the other pair are only of the shirt and waistcoat beneath the poncho. Arrows pointing to the tears in his clothing on his back are annotated with the words “Ripped by wings”. The other two full body drawings show him on all fours and standing up with his wings extended. The two bits of text between the two say “Prefers walking on all fours” and “Wings manifest when needed or accidentally when startled.” The final two drawings are headshots, one of his side profile, the other showing his black hair without the hat on. There is a colour reference key on the bottom right for skin, hair, clothes and such.
