This old girl is finally going to her new home! My International 434 owes me nothing for all the work she's done here, & after my accident, I can't drive her anymore I gave her to a friend's kid to fix up & enjoy - he's so excited & has plans to use it where is volunteering 🥰 Happy trails Bessie

The arms and strapped onto the tractor so the tow company that is coming to get it can transport it more easily My ex has taken them off to upgrade them but in a other untreated bipolar episode abandoned the whole project Even when I was younger and healthier, I don't weigh enough to push down on the clutch and would have to pull myself down on the wheel Now post my foot being crushed, I could never drive this again and my kids have no interest in it I could have sold it, but selling farm equipment as a woman is a nightmare. Plus my friends son is a great kid, and its going to be a fantastic project for him He's promised me photos after he gets it all cleaned up, running well & painted He's excited to be entering it into local fairs too 🥰 So much better than some old guy who was going to strip it for parts (it runs fine) or it continuing to sit out in the weather & be in the way of walking the dogs for me

A call I'm glad I missed! I finally got my 18 yo & asked why he'd called late last night (I was asleep) He was driving his friends in the city when they were in a near-miss with an impaired driver 🫨 Everyone's okay & police were called (they were already on their way) Fuck I hate other people

Being a BackYard Breeder would be so much easier 😂 Jacks are known for same-sex aggression, but my girls get along amazingly except when the hormones start flowing & of course they all cycled together So right now, I'm keeping everyone individually & 3x walks, snuggle time, meals + visitor ...

(Everyone be really quiet about this so we don't jinx it, but after a failed attempt due to ice storm in the fall, I'm going to pick up a boy dog tomorrow for a little visit so we can have some very well planned for #JackRussellTerrier puppies, so in a few months there maybe puppy spam) 🤞

I live in a very safe area, but as a single woman, I am greatful to have very friendly dogs that are also very intimidating Ruby has a huge deep booming bark - which is extra hilarious because her mom Sasha is very high pitched Texted all my single girlfriends around to give them a heads up I think they were actually looking for the drug house up the road, in which case they must have been higher than I thought because our homes don't look at ALL alike... Today was the day, a year in the making! Finally pinned down a kid to dig the big holes for me, and got the rest of the yews in for the hedge! It'll look better as we get more of the black caps & weeds out from the front Big day for me, I moved most of the mulch myself! #GardenSky 💪

Before where I just had the landscape fabric down and 2 of the same variety of yews I picked up from someone in the city I've set down the 3 larger yews where I want the holes for them dug I bought all the yews last year but we just couldn't get around to it, and I stored everything in it's pot in the ground Same with this spring, too many small jobs that needed doing first (like constant repairs to the lawn mower), but I finally got a kid with some time and in everything went! I used the drill & auger for the smaller plants I got from BambooPlants.ca last year The new Taxus x Media Hicksii hedge (or Hick's yew) There are 11 3" plants (that have really healthy looking root systems on them!), 3 that are 2' tall and the 2 end plants that are over 5' tall (that I will cut down shorter in winter) Everything is planted 3' on centre There yews get to about 3' wide in 5 years, so that isn't going to be overly thick for awhile, but the plan it plant a cedar hedge in front of these yews to protect them from them road as yews grow quite slowly That's also why I'm going to leave most of the junk through to the winter, and clear it all out in spring with the mower (I also need to find all the edge rocks before I can mow - and there is a stump from an 150+ year old maple that is going to be an issue but not much I can do about that) I've got 4 of the 3" plants leftover that I will up-pot and again winter over as replacements, then plant them out somewhere in the yard after spring if everything is looking good I did 5 loads of the mulch!! That was huge for me! I'm a bit swollen and some pain, but I had a kid do the last couple just so we could get it done Now relaxing with the jays game, a beer & my bad foot elevated NOTHING around here is properly level or straight, just part of having an old property But I know the 2 end yews are equal distance from the house, so that was a good enough line to draw Plus I planted this behind the easement from the road, so I know this one can never be taken out by the township, The cedar in front could potentially be - but cedar is cheap & grows fast so I wouldn't care as much Yews grow very slowly, but they're so gorgeous, and I really like the hicks yews Mulch came from trees that were taken down from my property
