21+ | Sleepy netrunner and purple virtual girl. I stream sometimes. EN/GR ok! 🏳️‍⚧️ http://netrunnervt.carrd.co

fucking hell I haven't posted here in ages. I'm still alive! Yesterday I did a quick catch-up thing and talked about some fixes and upgrades for the stream. We also celebrated the new Redout 2 update by running all boss tracks! It wasn't a valid run to submit, but it was my first attempt :3

there is no such thing as "age verification." All "age verification" is actually "identity verification." You can coat it in glitter and "privacy-preserving" wrapping paper. But in the end, mandating age verification means mandating surveillance be built into software and hardware. Period.

Oh holy crap I just realised. During the RC2026 stream, we broke past FOUR HUNDRED Runners! Thanks once again, for this on top of everything else. I'm going to continue being an idiot on the internet for a very, very long time. Stay sharp, Del

Rookie Cup 2026 was an absolute BLAST. Thank you so, so much to my co-hosts for keeping everything running despite the tech issues we had, and all the pilots for making it a night to remember. Here are some of my favourite photos of our pilots' ships to celebrate the occasion~ #Redout2 #AGRacing

Photo of a dark blue Sulha ship from Redout 2 - Its design vaguely resembles a Pod Racer. The ship is flying through the air, rolled 90 degrees to the left. The photo is a close-up with the ship's dark tones contrasting the bright daylight background.Photo of an orange Buran ship from Redout 2. The ship is boosting off a huge jump, flying away from a waterfall visible in the background.Top-down photo of a white Asera ship from Redout 2. The ship is lined up with a bright strip of light on the race track, illuminating the features through the ship's partially see-through centre.Photo of a blue Mantis ship from Redout 2. The ship is visible in the top left half of the image, while the bottom right half of the image shows the environment of the game's Mars Memorial through a clear section of the track.

About a year ago, I signed up for the Redout 2 Rookie Cup and walked away in 3rd. Now, it's my turn. The Rookie Cup is back, hosted by yours truly! Grab your favourite ship, build it to 700 power and come take a shot at the £50 prize pool. #Redout2 #AGRacing #AGR youtu.be/MonppgGUbUg

Seeing people talk about genAI use in video games and being like "Well it's fine if it's just coding" No, absolutely not. You do not encroach upon my field and decide it's okay just because you think it's less artistic somehow. Video game code is art too. Way more than it's science, even.

Partly perception, partly bit rate, partly compressoon. You don't need high bandwidth to get human speech across, but you need it to cleanly capture the details of music. Compress the music, put both through the same, low-bandwidth phone call, and voice will just be less garbled by it all.

I'm so baffled by the fact that when you call an organisation and there's waiting music it sounds like you're listening to it on FM radio while driving through a dense forest while the "you are number # in queue" is delivered in high and clear quality. Why such a big difference?

If you want to try HRT you should. It's not like a switch where all the changes happen at once. Think of it like a hobby or something even lower stakes than that. HRT is something you're allowed to try for a while to see if you like it. You likely will. But it's okay if you don't. It's not a sin

Finished Screamer on stream tonight. Dear fucking god. If FH6 wins anything over this I'm going to riot. 10/10. Best arcade racer I've played in twenty years. I'm not spoiling *anything*, you should go play it for yourself. This instant.
