To accommodate submissions that may require additional preparation time, the NeurIPS 2026 Creative AI Track is extending its submission deadline by one week, to August 10, 2026, Anywhere on Earth (AoE). For more information, please refer to neurips.cc/Conferences/...

A clarification on the timeframe for rebuttals and author discussion, for all three tracks at NeurIPS 2026. Rebuttals can be posted until August 3rd AOE. This includes any back and forth with the reviewers.

The call for the NeurIPS 2026 Creative AI Track is out! In its fourth year, NeurIPS 2026 Creative AI Track invites research papers and artworks that explore emerging applications, methods, and critiques of artificial intelligence and machine learning in art, design, and creative practice.

This year, to improve transparency and responsible use of datasets in the NeurIPS 2026 Evaluations and Datasets Track, all dataset submissions are now required to include Responsible AI (RAI) metadata as part of the dataset’s Croissant file.

Following positive feedback from other venues, like STOC and ICML, NeurIPS is pleased to announce a new initiative in partnership with Google: for NeurIPS 2026, authors will have access to Google's Paper Assistant Tool (PAT) to help improve their submissions.

A reminder to all authors planning to send a manuscript to NeurIPS that all submissions MUST have a valid OpenReview profile when submitting.

The NeurIPS 2026 submission site opening has been moved to April 15th. Note that all tracks (Main Submission, Evaluations & Datasets, and Position Papers) share the same dates. The final submission deadlines remain unchanged: • Paper Abstracts: May 4th (AOE) • Full Papers: May 6th (AOE)

The Position Paper Track is back at NeurIPS 2026 for the second year, with an expanded scope, and better alignment with the main and Evaluation and Dataset tracks!

We want to speak directly to the concern many of you have expressed, and we owe you a clear explanation of what happened, why it happened, and where we stand now. We understand this situation caused genuine alarm and we take that seriously.

NeurIPS is aware of the community's concerns regarding the list of sanctions. NeurIPS is an inclusive community focused on free scientific discourse. We deeply value the research that comes from everyone in our community.

Following the success of the EurIPS and NeurIPS-Mexico City pilots in 2025, we are thrilled to announce two official NeurIPS 2026 satellite events for this year! These will be held in Paris, France and Atlanta, USA, respectively, running alongside the main venue in Sydney, Australia.
