I'm pleased to share that my entry for Janet Cotterill in the 2nd edition of the Encyclopedia of Applied Linguistics is expected to be published online in spring 2025, and in print in winter 2025. In there, I explore her remarkable research and her contributions in the field of language and law
And my abstract got accepted! I'll be talking about how the PUA community linguistically diminishes women's sexual authority and agency, providing understandings of consent that allow them to reclaim their masculinity through heterosexual activity. See you soon @iafll.bsky.social

On Monday, I attended a seminar organised by the Gender and Sexualities research cluster at Aston. Dr Jilly Boyce talked about the rise of digital, reactionary 'feminism', and how these online spaces mirror the practices of the manosphere, spreading ideas of gender inequality. Fascinating research.
