Did you know the west window in our Antechapel features 7 figures representing the Virtues? Temperance, Fortitude, Faith, Charity, Hope, Justice, and Prudence feature in individual windows. It was designed in 1780s by Royal Academy painter Joshua Reynolds and painted by Dublin-born Thomas Jervais.
Before Apple or Google Pay, there were pieces of metal stamped by the state. In the 7th century BC, the Lydians minted the first coins and invented a whole new way to buy, sell, and trade. Professor Andrew Meadows, tutor in ancient history, takes us back to where money (as we know it) began.

Old member Dr Sarah Rudebeck (2008) has won a £75,000 Innovate UK Women in Innovation Award. The award will fund a 12-month project adapting Recallify, an AI-powered memory and learning app, into a classroom tool for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

What a joy to welcome 49 students from across Wales to our Seren Summer School. Across 2 Humanities and STEM-focused streams, they received lectures from University academics, explored the Ashmoleum and Natural History Museum, and even had an ice cream at G&Ds 🍦📚👯
