Cracking on in getting the Wyrd Sword draft finished. Getting there. Today is blitzing through the GMs advice chapter, focusing on keeping it short and snappy while still being useful. Trying to explain how to run BRP so it avoids Lazy River style play and combat is quick and fun. #brp #ttrpg

My messy writing stage of my Gloranthan RuneHack #ttrpg is at an end. I've got bits for everything I want in the initial release, and I've identified bits, such as spirits, I want to work out later. Next writing session is to sweep through and tidy up this prototype. Example character screenshot.

Big outing of Staycation pt2, Manchester Cat Cafe (recently reopened at the top of Deans Gate). A very fluffy and calming experience (at least two degrees of calm lower than baseline). Also a quick walk along Deans Gate, hence the picture of John Rylands Library, before tea at the Real Greek (Yum!)

Egads, I remember the Oldham Space Program pictured here in the town centre, before funding cuts turned it into a Children's Playground. Pictured here are Astronauts Ramsbottom, Lees, and Trafford, who proved for definite that every planet has a North😂

Yesterday I was shouting "Mega City Yorkshire I am in Leeds Creative District!" as we visited Leeds Armouries to view the Genghis Khan Exhibition - which was jolly good. After which we had a curry at Mumtaz's, which was magical! 😍

The morning caffeinated hacking madness continues. I'm sort of on holiday, at home, still responsible for cleaning up, so I can justify it as a fun thing to do. My rules lite Gloranthan game, has more meat on the bones. Its grown to 15 pages. I've decided if it gets to more than 23, I'll bin it🤣 1/

150,000 marched yesterday in London for trans rights. Opened the Sky News app. Scrolled and scrolled. Nothing. BBC News app. Nothing. Guardian app. Nothing. This is what actual silencing looks like.

While we here on Blue Sky, sharing our RPG hot takes, letting others know about our online games, promoting new games, and pictures of the latest convention games, spare a thought for all those gamers in their bunkers. Who have been playing the same game with the same people FOR DECADES! 🤣 #ttrpg

My wife jokes that my fantasy ttrpg interests are "all about the Goblins". This morning, while I was cleaning up the Grim and Dangerous draft, this turned out to be literally true. As I ended up quickly doing a brain dump of how I was doing Goblinoid races in the game! #ttrpg #oldhammerRPG

So the first iteration of my Oldhammer RPG, Grim and Dangerous, is based in scope on Warhammer 1st. So magic is only Battle Magic and Necromancy. I'm quite tickled that the Cult of Eternal Elizabeth, a fantasy version of Elizabeth I who becomes Lich Queen to rule forever, combines the two :) 2/
