"The women and girls of Afghanistan cannot afford international inaction." Metra Mehran underscores that the women of #Afghanistan are pursuing every available pathway to hold the Taliban accountable.
"Since August 2021, the Taliban have enacted over 230 decrees directly targeting women, girls and LGBTQI+ individuals because of their gender, by denying them nearly every fundamental human right," Metra Mehran tells the #UNSC.
