Happy Spooky Season! 🎃 We’re celebrating all October long with $31 off all of our adult black kitty cats! Meow! Thank you, Maui, for your patience and your excellent marketing skills. Maui is available for adoption and, according to Maui, she is the friendliest girl around. 🖤

A lil’ **Stretch or Treat** anyone? 🎃🧘‍♀️🐈‍⬛ Ann Czerwinski from Active Zen is back on 10/31 for gentle yoga, kittens, and peak Halloween vibes. 👻✨ Come get your stretch on. The kittens will be doing… whatever they want. 💅 www.nhhumane.org/events

Thank you to everyone who braved the wind and impending nor’easter at our annual Be a Hero 5K at Castle in the Clouds this past weekend! You are all the real superheroes! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️🐾 And, of course, a HUGE thank you to our wonderful sponsors, who help make this event possible.

We love an adopter update, and we just received the sweetest one from alum Coyote. Coyote was with us for a bit, and our entire dog crew grew to have a soft spot for this guy. He was the best pal to his dog friends and a loyal companion once he decided you were one of his people.

Join us in our reading corner sometime! 📚 Telling Tails was created to spread kindness, build literacy skills, & keep our kitties happy and socialized. And getting involved is easy! This program takes place during our regular open hours, so stop by, grab a book, & spend some time reading.

Star is a Star! ✨️ Meet your not-so-typical lap dog! Well… she can try, anyway. Star is a one-year-old doggo who loves her dog friends, loves her human friends, and is always up for an adventure. Basically, she’s got places to go and people (and pups!) to meet!

Happy Gotcha Day & cozy fall vibes! ✨️

This is MJ. Once a stray, MJ has decided he will now accept only the best. The best napping spots, the best snacks, and, of course, the best people.

📞 Our phones are apparently choosing chaos. We’re letting you know that we *do not know* what is actually happening with our phones right now. 📧 Reception — reception@nhhumane.org 📧 Adoptions — adoptions@nhhumane.org 📧 Stray/Intake — intake@nhhumane.org

The first day of autumn… can you believe it? Some people may think a shelter setting is a sad place, and sometimes, it can be. But it is also a place where lives are changed for the better - both human and animal.

Kitten yoga was a ✨vibe✨! 🐱🧘‍♀️ Thank you to everyone who joined us Saturday! Keep those 👀 peeled for our next session!

Maple is literally just a girl. Maple is making her debut to our website, along with her sidekick, Teddy. He is about seven pounds so, no biggie (pun intended!) Maple is looking forward to hanging with you while you sip your maple latte, and Teddy is just along for the ride. FIND LOVE 🖤

Happy Gotcha Day, you cuties! 💘 www.nhhumane.org/adopt

🚨 GOOD NEWS! 🚨 Meredith Center Road is OPEN, the power is back, and so are we! We are officially OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and ready to welcome you back.❤️ Thank you so much for your patience and understanding while our road and power were being sorted out. We appreciate you!

Meet Harlan. His brain is still trying to catch up to his body. 😂 Harlan is a five-month-old houndy guy who has two speeds: go and GOT SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT IT. He loves to talk, and honestly, we respect the commitment to the yap.

🚨 PLEASE NOTE! 🚨 There are power lines down on Meredith Center Road, and we currently do not have power or working phone lines. For everyone’s safety, we will be closed to the public until power is restored and the road is open. Don’t worry - we’ve got our furry residents covered. 🐾❤️

What’s better than moving your body with a few good inhales and exhales? 🧘‍♀️ Moving your body with little kittens by your side. 🐈‍⬛ Join us this Saturday at 10 AM for PURR + FLOW with Ann Czerwinski of Active Zen Yoga! Space is limited - but you know that. www.nhhumane.org/events

HALP! We are extremely low on TOWELS with so many littles in our care. If you have some unwanted towels laying around, just know they are very much wanted here. You can easily drop off donations in the yellow bin to the right of our front door! We appreciate you 💓

Meet Coyote. Coyote has done a lot of growing with us since becoming a resident in July. He has a soft spot for each and every person on our dog care team, and while he may not be the life of the party (unless it’s a party with his people), he is a special kind of love for a special kind of person.

Happy Gotcha Day! We feel some seasonal allergies coming on.🥹

Purr + Flow: Mindful Movement with Kittens is coming up on Saturday, September 19th at 10 AM! Limited tickets available, sign up today! Meow! Ticket Link⬇️ bit.ly/4yp5zvs

Miss Mary says she is in need of new cat toys - the fuzzy one and the ones that are plastic and ball shaped. We don't make the rules! But, seriously - thank you for thinking of us and keeping our kitty cat residents entertained during their time with us. 💓
