Good grief. Microsoft Teams is core business software. It simply can't be an app that hangs several times per week.

Polanski is a twerp. The obvious thing to do in this situation was not to demand an apology from Farage but to apologise, thank Farage for bringing it up, and welcome that fact that Farage does now agree that such posts are potentially police-worthy.
For a while now people have been angry at the "paperclip maximiser" example of non-aligned ai. I don't know why, I felt it did the job and only deliberately obtuse people thought it was literal.
My fear is The Inevitable Tedium of Vocation Vs Academic Debate. Also, I have a solution. Every qualification should be both. The academic grade is the norm-referenced uni-sorter. The vocational one, a criterion-referenced record of competence.

This is what destroys the USA. Not the failure of the company, but the corruption that meant ordinary investors take the hit. It ceases to be where people want to invest.

I feel like there's definitely a world in which Count Binface beats Farage. It's Summer, the major parties are not in the game. There are people in the constituency who would back a 'Not-Farage' ticket. There's even tacit acknowledgement from the government that the 'bin' is the alternative offer.
I know what the ai people think they are saying. I also think it's true... ...when it comes to code, a domain where we are using taste to describe some quite narrow judgements. In creative pursuits it'll be competent in execution but this will never be sufficient.
