Travel ✈️ & Astronomy 🔭, two of my favourite things…. Looking forward to reading this by @meganeaves.com

Did a bit of autumn #astrophotography last night… NGC7789 Caroline’s Rose in Cassiopeia, & the always impressive M31 Andromeda Galaxy.

With proper darkness gradually returning I turned my #StellaMira 90EDT telescope towards the Seahorse dark nebula (Barnard 150) in Cepheus this week. Quite pleased given limited imaging time & NE London’s Bortle 7/8 light pollution. #astrophotography

Blink and you’ll miss it! I captured a solar transit by the International Space Station today. Pic is composite of 19 frames, the transit lasted less than a second.

Definitely getting into #GalaxySeason… a selection of some lovely sights in the spring skies, imaged from NE London early April with my 6” StellaLyra RC scope. M63 Sunflower Galaxy M106 spiral galaxy M94 Croc Eye Galaxy #astrophotography

The Jellyfish Nebula in Gemini, imaged from my back garden in NE London. 🪼 #astrophotography

Managed some #astrophotography last night… first visit this season to the Rosette Nebula in Monoceros

First #Astrophotography honours for 2025 go to the always impressive Horsehead & Flame Nebulae in #Orion & the California Nebula in Perseus Taken from Chingford NE London 2 Jan with StellaMira 90 EDT & ZWO 533MC camera.

I love the result a @solarcan.bsky.social gives… a 31.6 million second (give or take a few!) exposure of the sun’s path in 2024.

Clear nights seem to be a rarity at the moment, so when the clouds finally departed the other night the telescope was ready to go… I captured images of the Double Cluster & California Nebula in Perseus, & the Flaming Star nebula in Auriga. #astrophotography

A couple more images taken from the back garden over the last couple of clear nights… M45 Pleiades star cluster & M33 Triangulum Galaxy #Astrophotography

So my first post here is my most recent #astrophotography image… the lovely Iris Nebula in Cepheus. Taken 23 October from my back garden in NE London.
