After making lunch for my kid's first day back at school I got carried away and also roasted up six sweet potatoes (now mashed and freezing in silicone muffin cups), and a dozen muffin-sized apple crumbles for snack tonight and breakfast tomorrow. Successfully using up our produce!!

I have been invited to join a game of Pendragon! I am very excited to give it a try. I'm not overly familiar but everything I've read seems really cool, and different from the stuff I've tried before. I've never played a game with a structured timeline of that sort.

Researching for #fluxgate, tonight I watched Forbidden Planet! What a wild movie for the time. I'm not sure why the poster features Robby carrying Altaira. As far as I recall that never happened in the film. Just an homage to other classic pulp planetary romance I guess.

Trying to come up with some knock-off robot designs for #alloutapocalypse

Some stuff I doodled for an abandoned project. It was gonna be a jungle post apocalypse. I lifted Ogremen from here for my #allout apocalypse game, though I changed them a fair bit.

Going through an old sketchbook and posting some stuff I don't think I ever posted before.

Very fun experiment on a rainy day today. The neighborhood girls wondered if it would be possible to make a potato substitute somehow with the ingredients we had at hand. We ended up trying to make cauliflower croquettes, subbing boiled cauliflower for the potato. Verdict: unconvincing but tasty!

TTRPG mechanic: When you roll up your character you get a d4, d6, d10, and d12. You assign one each to your hit die, your melee weapons, your ranged weapons, and your spell casting and you're stuck with that for the rest of the game. Levelling just unlocks new ways to use those dice.
