To my knowledge I have never patronized the gig economy outside of traditional couriers (if they count). I haven't had food delivered by anyone except employees of the resto, never ordered an Uber, etc.

Wild thunder in the distance is moving closer and the air is absolutely still. What a weird day.
I had a strong sense memory impulse to recreate a mixed tape I made in 1999. Got stuck on a band I think was from Michigan so I searched for bands from Michigan. Didn't find it. But I did see that there was a band called Crucifucks and whoever you are - I've been laughing for 5 minutes.
"my brain has properties in common with Swiss cheese" is something I had to say in writing to my director today. Thank you, weekend, for showing up on time.

Speaking of, I had the lemon lavender ice cream at Hennigar's in Wolfville on Sunday and will probably make the drive to have it again before end of summer.

It's official! I've entered a quilt in the upcoming county fair. I think this renders my conversion to Country Mouse complete.

The Spaniard is extremely reliable on the "erm no" front. Today she strongly advised we don't ride up this mountain. Not long after this thunder started. I know I'm not in a horse community on this platform but horses as fun:)

I'm always equal parts horrified and delighted when I see critters that just 'seem' bigger than what my Canadian brain expects. This thing is quite the specimen.

The public was allowed to enter the whale up until a couple was found having sex inside it. Now the whale’s jaws are opened only for special occasions, such as Swedish election days.
Woke up to a slightly funky smell outside. Turns out the dump was/is on fire. Jesus.
When I moved to the Valley people swarmed to get me to join all the things. All those commitments were during my working hours. Can't do it.

You’ve gotta get your head above that stuff.
