10 years in & after trying literally everything else, they’ve decided that the resonant framing for this to break through is “THEY ARE GETTIN’ THINGS WE AREN’T GETTIN”. Coincidentally, the exact framing those same politicians used on the rest of us in order to get elected in the first place.

Their average monthly floor time is well below the 80-hour monthly threshold the same Congress imposed on Medicaid recipients.

Dude at the gym got mad at me for using a machine when he was on a different machine because he left his towel there. He was using 10 lb weights on the inclined squat, so he obviously wasn’t a gym guy & clearly a recent joiner, but my God what a spectacular breach of gym etiquette!

Why do we allow people to stay until they literally have to be carried off the floor, until they disappear with paid leave that they won’t grant for anyone else in the country?

Converse is owned by Nike. It was its own company once, but now it’s just a sub brand for Nike. Haven’t looked into it, but I would believe that ad was a hoax before I ever believed it was a real advertisement.
‘Autocratic Despair’ is a term I coined to describe this based on the Edward’s Deming principle of ‘Operational Definitions’. We cannot begin to solve a problem without first defining the problem. Or as my father often says: ‘Give it a name’.

This is the best written piece I have seen on this topic. Until Dr. Craig exposed me to this way of thinking on the topic, I admit that I didn’t see the harm in candidates conceding some space if it meant winning an election. Very happy to have been straightened out, at any rate.

As a Green Bay native, I just gave to say I love the idea that Bears fans can watch their team put up 50 in the road and still spare any mindshare at all to chant “Green Bay Sucks!” As a city, Chicago is superior in every way & we all acknowledge this. Green Bay shouldn’t even cross their mind.
You CAN tell people how to feel about things! If you make a good enough argument, people will even adopt your superior perspective. I was gonna let this shit slide until @cajohnson-craig.bsky.social explained why I shouldn’t & I had no choice but to adopt his superior perspective.

If you are under 26 and have a mustache, I’ve always assumed it was ironic. It’s been a real difficult thing for me to accept them as sincere over the last half decade. That’s why I hate Morgan Wallen without even knowing any of his songs.

I would never watch Moana 2 because I think that the fact that it exists supports the theory that Moana wasn’t a perfect movie. Wouldn’t dare give that theory any credence. Would I love to send another two hours in the Moana universe? Of course! Unwilling to disrespect Moana, though.
