On my shelf: Histoire Générale des Voyages by L’Abbé Prévost (author of Manon Lescaut) 1741 (I only have tome 2 of 17) Can anyone decipher the signature of the Monsieur Gibert (possibly « Cordelier » or shoemaker?) who bought it in 1772?

@elizabethscrase.bsky.social are you from Sussex? My mother was born a Scrase in 1939. Seems almost all Scrases are originally from around Lewes/Haywards Heath. If you’ve published any family history she’d be very interested! As would I.
